What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

They couldn't. Jimmy wouldn't wave his no trade clause for the Commanders. (Can't blame him).

Jimmy didn't have a choice.

The players basically said they liked and supported both guys last year. It wasn't an issue, and it wouldn't be an issue.

Why would they split reps? Lance would get the starter reps, Jimmy would get the backup reps.

Everyone is so concerned about the money. Shanalynch are obviously not all that concerned.

What Jimmy wants is not all that relevant.

Dude go watch Kittle have to talk about QBs every single day...he hated it. Same with Juice/Deebo etc. It's gonna be constant who should be the starter crap. Lance throws a bad ball let's look at Jimmy G all yr. No one needs that. Players aren't dumb either, they want talent in the building to help them win and this is NOT doing that.

In what world is paying a backup $27M being smart? This is a team that was close to going to the SB and instead of getting starters they're gonna tie up cash into Jimmy because they're too stubborn to cut him? They've gotten worse not better.

Come on dude, enough is enough.

They had no intention of using the money being paid Jimmy to free agents. That money is earmarked for Deebo/Bosa, something they'll be able to do in 2023 anyway.

Its funny that a lot of the people who think Ryan stinks (not necessarily you) refuse to acknowledge his 2021 was essentially the same as Jimmy's 2021.

And Jimmy had a SUBSTANTIALLY better situation around him.

True.

But to be fair, 514 passing attempts vs. 573 when you're constantly behind suggests Matt really blows now too.

He was hit 130 times though. LOL

That doesn't mean he can't resurrect his career though in Indy but I wouldn't expect much.

Yeah. There are many reasons why its not apples to apples in this comparison. But IMO, they all balance out. They are the same level of QB at this point.

The Texans dont want to win. They also love Mills for cheap.

Plus Mills is better than Jimmy.

I don't know about that.

Maybe not better but he's way younger, cheaper and the play isn't insanely far apart to warrant trading for him. They really like Mills
this is a cluster f##k

Just my observation on the Matt Ryan trade, but the Falcons didn't have much leverage in the trade. Matt Ryan wanted out and the Falcons bought some time by delaying his $7 million bonus. They had to do it by this afternoon or eat that bonus money and then trade him. Getting a 3rd and not paying the $7 million was probably the best they could do.

Browns have no leverage with Baker because he wants out and they got Watson.

Lynch has no leverage unless they are seriously considering keeping Jimmy thru 2022. Even then, it comes at a cost. If that's not the plan then a release should be coming. It's all strange

Great post this is what building a position of strength is all about. Falcons and Browns operating from positions of weakness. We must be prepared to keep JG it's the only way. I guess we have to keep going to NFC Champs and Super Bowls with this guy

I don't know if they could have made the trade, but Jimmy and his team showed they couldn't be trusted with the leaked info during the year.

How come no one wants a 2 time NFCCG QB with 1 SB game in 3 years ?

he once beat the Saints with his arm too !

Maybe because people who are smarter football minds than every single person on this board understand that team record is a stupid way to analyze a QB.

Um, yes he did. He had a no trade clause. That means he could prevent a trade to any team he wanted at the time, including the Commanders. That's literally what a no-trade clause is.

It wasn't until the new league year, after the Commanders already acquired Wentz, that Jimmy's no-trade clause went away.

Because he took a knee during the national anthem?

I was told all he does is win

I guess teams read the fine print with that

I think teams don't value JG like we do.

In 23 Deebo hits the market. That would be stupid to let happen.

Will CAR choose to pay both Jimmy and Darnold? Doubtful

NO hasn't shown interest, Winston makes more sense.

ATL needs someone, they'll probably draft a guy.

SEA won't get Jimmy unless he's cut.

NYG don't seem to be interested in Jimmy.

I still think the Texans are in play.

LOL why?

Mayos tingly senses in his chonies are more reliable than some posters in here.
