What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

The players basically said they liked and supported both guys last year. It wasn't an issue, and it wouldn't be an issue.

Why would they split reps? Lance would get the starter reps, Jimmy would get the backup reps.

Everyone is so concerned about the money. Shanalynch are obviously not all that concerned.

What Jimmy wants is not all that relevant.

Dude go watch Kittle have to talk about QBs every single day...he hated it. Same with Juice/Deebo etc. It's gonna be constant who should be the starter crap. Lance throws a bad ball let's look at Jimmy G all yr. No one needs that. Players aren't dumb either, they want talent in the building to help them win and this is NOT doing that.

In what world is paying a backup $27M being smart? This is a team that was close to going to the SB and instead of getting starters they're gonna tie up cash into Jimmy because they're too stubborn to cut him? They've gotten worse not better.

Come on dude, enough is enough.

They had no intention of using the money being paid Jimmy to free agents. That money is earmarked for Deebo/Bosa, something they'll be able to do in 2023 anyway.

In 23 Deebo hits the market. That would be stupid to let happen.

Jimmy won't be on the team in 2023

Neither will Deebo if we wait this long.
I'd be SHOCKED if some team was actually offering 2 2nds at this point given that Matt Ryan just went for a 3rd.

over reacting,,,,,, we were told we would have multiple suitors.. we should have with the crap qb class this year... it is obvious we had no interest and kyle and lynch decided to play this stupid little game of chicken thinking the teams in the nfl were stupid... and now here we are stuck with jimmy. over reacting... to me. the people under reacting to this and thinking everything is fine. and its part of the plan blah blah blah are the odd ones

No you weren't, not even once.

lynch said we will have multiple suitors... kyle said the same and said we will find him a place where he is happy and whats more... kyle said we will use the jimmy money and quote surround trey with elite talent.... i know you need to carry the water for lynch.. but stop it.... the way they have mismanaged this and misread this is not defensible in the least

Cool story bro.

You aren't privvy to any of what is, has and will continue to go on behind closed doors. You have no idea what is really or actually going on.

You are simply making up fantasy scenarios in your head and trying to pass them off as fact and push your little anti Kyle and anti John narrative.

Will CAR choose to pay both Jimmy and Darnold? Doubtful

NO hasn't shown interest, Winston makes more sense.

ATL needs someone, they'll probably draft a guy.

SEA won't get Jimmy unless he's cut.

NYG don't seem to be interested in Jimmy.

I still think the Texans are in play.

LOL why?

Caserio knows Jimmy from NE and they're looking for a vet Qb to start.

I would assume if they released that publicly that it's true. If it would be found out false that would be so bad. If they have this deal they should take it. That's fair.

In my opinion, it's not true.

But if it IS, then I guess it depends on who the team is.
If it's the Seahawks... I'd probably prefer to see if any other team wants him before I send him to a divisional rival.

And that in part is f**king horrible business IMO. This team has not improved, while a lot of good teams have. Thinking it's better to hold onto $18M just because vs using it to improve the team is not helping the team.

Something they've never really done the last four offseasons is spend big money on free agents. Why would they change that now? Aside from Chandler Jones there hasn't been anyone signed elsewhere they were seemingly interested in.

Spending money on free agents just to crow in the offseason is rarely a winning formula. Shanalynch have never done it outside of 2017 when they signed a handful of vets who were mostly there to change the culture from the previous regime.

If for whatever reason we cant trade jimmy lynch has to be fired in the same second
Bosa and Deebo will both hold out this season if not extended.

I said this before that the Niners could have signed 5 good players with that $27 Million.

Jimmy slows us down in FA none.

ATL only got a 3rd because of the dead cap hit they are taking on Ryan (Biggest in NFL history). They are essentially paying him to play QB for the Colts lol

And why wouldn't Deebo want to go to FA at that point? If I'm Deebo or Bosa I'm not touching the field this off season until I'm paid. You're willing to pay a backup QB $27M but not willing to pay Deebo or Bosa? That's $27M in fully GTD cash too once the season starts. Right in his pocket regardless if he's playing or not.

You think if they had that cash they wouldn't have resigned Laken or DJ? You don't think they would have offered a little more to Chandler Jones (who they offered a deal too)? You got teams all over the place making moves to improve, SF's working with like $10M and signing STers and a decent CB.

I could see the Saints offering a 4th this year or a 3rd next year that could become a 2nd based on games played. If I was their GM I would try and do that since this coming season is going to be an unknown after the surgery. Just because they say it was minor doesn't mean he'll be 100% by the start of the season. After all we're talking about a QB that'a been hurt almost as much as he's been healthy.

I think we could have traded him if John said he would just take a 5th or 6th.
