What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

I can't believe the Steelers signed trubisky. That is a head scratcher - dudes trash.

but we are running out of trade options at this point.

When the music stops playing, will Baker Mayfield or Jimmy Garoppolo be left standing without a chair?

There's a real chance they both will. This is getting ugly.

They're tanking.
Super bowl appearance and NFC championship appearance with Jimmy at QB. Maybe Kyle really Is a genius.

As the draft nears and even into training camp where people may get injured. But at the moment...yes...ugly.

At the end of the day, this is worse for Jimmy than it is the 49ers. But overreacting fans gonna do what they do best.

At the end of the day, every person on this board should be worried about how this is for the 49ers than it is for Jimmy.

It's not. Lol

Um what?

Lol later dude

Reading comprehension FTL

Let me rephrase. All of us on this board should be interested in the best case for the 49ers and not Jimmy. Who gives a f**k if this is bad for Jimmy. All that should matter is the 49ers.

I know I'm with SWH. I could give two squirrel turds where JG ends up as long as he's up outta here. We should all be so unlucky to get way over paid for being average. I do not believe JG will go hungry and homeless in this lifetime.
Not sure where you got "I'm worried if this looks bad for Jimmy or not" all I said was 49ers fans shouldn't be panicking the way they are, because the real loser in this is Jimmy Garoppolo, not the 49ers.

but thanks for wasting everyone's time

Jimmy is screwing himself but as well, we could've gotten a pick already if he didn't delay the surgery.

I doubt his agent thought this many QBs would be on the move and so many of the teams seeking a new QB are gonna be set. They definitely delayed the surgery with the possibility that we will cut him and he can chose a team. Jimmy's agent overvalued Jimmy too lol.

Browns have even less leverage than us. I could definitely see both getting cut.

My theory (bc I am innately petty) is that the 49ers felt surprised and screwed by the late surgery, and interpreted it as a move by Jimmy's camp to secure a release from the team so that he could choose his destination. In doing so, he tanked his trade value and possibly scared off potential trade partners.

If that is the case, I would (if I was the 49ers) hold onto Jimmy until every spot was filled, then release him and let him and his agent beg for a chance to compete somewhere.

This is what I theorize last week and got laugh at! Who's laughing now?

if we cut Jimmy, are we on the hook for the remainder of his contract ?

No. Save about $25m of his $27m. We pay an injury settlement of $7.5m if he can't pass a physical that will be offset dollar for dollar If he gets a new contract with anybody.

What does that ell you about what teams think about Jimmy.

Trubisky is a better option for the Steelers. He's 4 years younger than Jimmy and is much more mobile. He didn't do well in Chicago but what QB has. There offensive system is what's trash. Trubisky isn't going to cost much so the Steelers can afford to see if he is better with a better team around him and a stable system.

BOOM!!! This is a major reason I think it's a real possibility that he's on the roster at the beginning of the season. How Lynch and Shanny handle this is gonna tell us a lot about how equally ruthless they're willing to be. I firmly believe that they felt completely blindsided by this surgery thing, and they could be sore behind it.

Let's get real guys. Lynch and Shanny are pros. They won't sacrifice what's best for the team just to be spiteful.

My hand to God: I SO hope you are right. But that would mean that they will be cutting him, like, today. Because I simply don't see any viable trade options left.
