Dude Jimmy said bye lol. He said they were very clear with the plan and paying a backup QB already is more proof to that....
"As far as the whole trade situation, John's (general manager John Lynch) been very clear with it," Garoppolo said on Tuesday. "I think they're trying to do the best for me, I'm trying to do the best for them. We're working together on that -- really haven't made too much progress on it, but I think things will start happening here pretty quickly."
"We've talked a little bit. I think more will happen in the days to come," Garoppolo said. "But yeah, these guys have been very up front about the whole thing. Just talking to John yesterday about finding the right destination and whatever the future holds, just doing it the right way. I've got a long career ahead of me. I'm excited about it. I'm excited about the opportunities to come. I just want to go to a place where they want to win. That's really what I'm in this game for. I'm here to play football. I'm here to win football games. As long as I've got that and good people around me, I think the rest will take care of itself."
"It's been a fun ride guys and I really appreciate you for that," Garoppolo said. "And yeah, I'll miss you guys. So thank you guys again. Faithful, thank you very much for everything. It's been crazy man, just all the comebacks at Levi's, comebacks on the road, ups and downs, it's been a hell of a ride guys. I love you guys. So, see ya."
You do NOT say all that s**t if they didn't tell you what the plan was...him getting surgery and the league overall not being a bunch of Jimmy homers like some in here is why he's not gone.

The plan was clearly to start Lance because they were trying to move Jimmy....just because the league doesn't think Jimmy is worth trading for that doesn't change who the starter is.
He will more than likely be cut once cleared, unless something happens to another teams QB between that time. It's not hard to get.
Again I don't see that ever being said. They have, since day one been open to bringing Jimmy back. The plan was Trey and some good picks but plans change. That's why they left the door open.
Again it's simple, expectations are a Super Bowl with Jimmy.

Results are far more important than feelings. Shanny doesn't care that Jimmy lives rent free in certain posters heads(not you specifically). He cares about what's best for the team not just one position.

Where do they say Jimmy is not coming back and that Trey will be the guy? They never make that commitment and left the door open for a reason.
"I love Jimmy. I'm not going to sit here and make a farewell statement or anything right now, that's the last stuff on my mind, But Jimmy has battled his (expletive) off. He battled today. And he did some unbelievable things today and I love coaching Jimmy."
Why would they say any of that while their trying to trade Jimmy? There is no advantage of saying any of that while trying to drum up a bidding war.
Straight from Jimmy's mouth...
"As far as the whole trade situation, John's (general manager John Lynch) been very clear with it," Garoppolo said on Tuesday. They spent cash on a backup QB, the head beat reporter for SF came out and said Lance will get all the snaps in OTA/TC and Jimmy more than likely will be cut after he passes a physical...maybe a team trades for him between then or a QB gets hurt but he's not gonna be on the team in 2022.
Did you intentionally leave out this part of the conversation?
"I'll never close every door completely," Garoppolo said. "I think there's a possibility of anything. We need to have those conversations here in the next couple days, next couple weeks and, you know, really get the ball going on that."
And they had the convos and they were trying to trade him!
AND Lynch had convos with Amazon.
Bottomline, you listen to offers.
You guys gotta get out of this denial phase lol. He's gonna be gone. Just follow him to his new team, no big deal.
Im not saying he isn't 100% staying, but you guys are saying it's 100% certain he's gone. I don't think that's right.

Do you not read or just ignore points that don't backup your narrative?

You do NOT say all that if you haven't been told the plan is to move you and Lance is gonna be the starter. You don't pay a backup QB GTD cash if you don't plan on moving Jimmy....use some common sense.
You have no clue what the expectations are with Lance...you have no clue where he's at so stop trying to pretend like you do...it's pointless to proclaim anything in March.
I know Kyle cares about the team, that's why he spent 3 1st rd picks on the QB you apparently can't stand. It's why they've spent all off season trying to move Jimmy and teams around the league aren't WZ homers about Jimmy. They look at the situation objectively NOT as fans and the league has spoken. He will be cut so they can get that full $25M this yr unless some time calls up with an actual trade offer before then.

Shanahan and general manager John Lynch told reporters the only outcome they're committing to is clear communication between the team and Garoppolo.
"If we knew exactly what was happening, we'd have told Jimmy," Shanahan said.

Trey is not ready. He's a 21 year old prospect that played in scrub league for a single season. Shanny and Lynches job is to win right now and Jimmy gets us to the NFCC while Trey needs training wheels. The only way we are trading Jimmy is if we get a rightful deal. If not we keep winning even though the fans hate winning for whatever weird reason.
Did you listen to Jimmy's last presser? Did you not listen to Lynch talk about moving Jimmy and how they were gonna work together to make it happen? Did you not see that they paid Sudfeld backup money. You DO NOT pay that type of cash for a QB3. Most teams don't even care 3 QBs on the roster unless they're basically free. Their plan was NOT to keep Jimmy and start him in 2022. That ship sailed as soon as he threw his last ball which was an INT.
I'm so f**king tired of hearing so an so isn't ready...it's the biggest BS excuse for the we love Jimmy crowd. You have no clue who's ready...you don't watch the practices. Everything JL/KS have said hasn't lead to "he isn't ready" so cut the crap.
Oh and this is what they said about Trey at the end of the year.
What gives you two confidence that Trey Lance is ready to take over as the starting quarterback, if that's the route you choose to take?
KS: "Just being around him all year. I thought he had the ability we saw in college. We knew it was at a different level and we knew we were very limited on the amount he got to play, especially missing the last year of COVID. So you have to go off what you see on tape and believing in the person and we did. Having him here for a whole year, I feel stronger about that. He's got the ability to do it. He's got the mind to do it. And I think he's the type of person who can handle all the stuff that goes with it."
JL: "Yeah. I would just echo that. He is who we thought he was and probably even stronger. You have to have a lot to you. You have to have a lot of substance to play quarterback in this league both physically and from just a who you are standpoint. And I think Trey checks both those boxes and what you know is the things that Kyle and his staff have identified for Trey on things to work with. This guy's focus, his work ethic. He'll have a plan and it will be a comprehensive one and when you have the talent and you have that ability. Then I think what he showed me is that in the moments, and there were few, but when he had an opportunity to go play, I saw that competitive greatness that you look for in people who are going to lead your organization. And so even though we saw it, however brief it was, I saw it. And so it gives me a lot of belief that it's there and that he's exactly who we thought he was when we picked him. And we're really excited about that."

He literally said goodbye word for word. It's all there. They couldn't commit to anything at that point because no team offered them a trade lol. The fact that they were trying to move him (which Jimmy said) shows you who the starter is.

Why do you think they were trying to move Jimmy? Because they felt good enough having Lance as the starter...they paid Nate legit backup money. You don't do that with the plan of having Jimmy here as well.
Jimmy having surgery kicked in a $7.5M GTD on top of his prorated bonus. His contract doesn't become GTD until W1. Now holding onto Jimmy screwed early FA plans, but they still made some moves. They don't have to cut Jimmy at this point until he's cleared in June/July (when they get all but his prorated bonus off the books) By then anything could happen around the league, including a trade.
The fact that they wanted to trade Jimmy but couldn't doesn't change who they felt is going to be the starter in 2022....it's Lance. Use some common sense.

They can't just name trey the outright starter while jimmy is still on the roster. This will tank Jimmy's virtually non existent trade value even more. You Jimmy lovers are seriously grasping at straws. Just go cheer for the team he's holding a clip board for next year. My god
