Someone gets it
I don't know why this is being debated - a trade is unfeasible without JG agents agreeing to a salary reduction with the new team - a la 9ers gave his agents permission to talk to other teams and learn directly what that salary potential is -- $7mm max after Baker got $5mm?

NO WAY - the 9ers keep him past week one and lock his $25mm salary for the year. In that case they would have to eat the balance of his salary the other team isn't paying in a trade. Unless that's sub-$5mm for the 9ers that would be crazy if it's like $20mm. Jed may be patient, but he's not going to let the GM and Coach waste $20MM lol.

So a trade makes little sense if it involves 9ers also eating salary. e.g. 9ers agree to pay $15mm of his salary for what? A 5th round pick - ludicrous. Even a 2nd doesn't warrant paying $15mm for it. UNLESS you are that desperate to keep him off Seattle's roster! lol

My bet - they hold him until 3rd week of camp, then cut him to "do the right thing" to let him find a job elsewhere. Then you just pray someone beats out Seattle for his services, and Seattle ends up with that other teams cast off.

Do you think his salary will look different in FA vs trade?
A marble rye.
8th round pick.
What if we trade him for Sourdough Babka night at Levi. The stadium would smell good.

Trading him takes a willing partner. Releasing him is different, and is what is going to happen, specifically because there is not a single willing partner in the entire NFL.

The above realization is so ironic coming from you, as you vehemently fought against anyone who had the audacity to say JG wasn't a very good QB over the last year.

You and NC should get together and have a party where people deliver all the evidence of your past claims, and then you two can bury your heads in the sand. To NC's credit, while he is hypocritical, at least he brings football knowledge to the table. You, on the other hand....

no personal attacks and don't by pass the swear filter

Stunning how many thought we would get a 1st or second rounder looking at the polling results. Looks like my prediction of a baloney sandwich is more plausible.
