Pass rush will need to bring it! Protect those CB's and put the pressure on Stafford to turn over the ball. If we can do that, and Lance can get it going from the get-go, we can win this one.

When it comes down to it, if we can't beat the Rams then we don't deserve the playoffs. Plain and simple.

IF the 9ers do beat the Rams on Sunday, chances are they will play them again the following week, right?

There's still a bunch of dominoes that need to fall. LAR/AZ, DAL, or TB are all feasible

Key to Rams victory: Stafford hucks the ball downfield 40 yards every drive and is gifted multiple garbage PI.

Key to Niners victory: 40 rushes for 180 yards.

If you told me we would have a "win and in" last game of the season after week 6, I'd be ecstatic. We control our own destiny... we have just as much to play for as the 'Aints. We got this!

I wish it would have been, but I can see why it wasn't. TV is looking for ratings and this game also allows NBC to continue with tributes for John Madden. The NFL is all about ratings and since the Chargers are now in Los Angeles, and also still command a large part of the San Diego market, you can tell why this game was chosen. Same is true with the Raiders who have strong fan bases everywhere, including Las Vegas, Northern and Southern California.

The Rams and 49ers command similar fan bases. But it was a choice between two games with a fan base that is mostly confined to California.

As for who starts at QB, I know Shanahan leans toward experience. But it's my belief that Trey Lance probably gives the 49ers the best shot. Once the kid got through his early game jitters yesterday, he looked pretty good. We still haven't seen the kid play his best game yet, and fans probably won't see his best game against the Rams. But he brings a lot more to the table than Garoppolo.

Imagine having to beat an NFCW rival three times in one season to advance in the playoffs…. And back to back weeks. Could happen

I absolutely hate this game...

WE've beat them 5x in a row or some s**t and nothing is better than getting revenge like f'in your division rival from getting in the playoffs..

I'm not sure about Trey or Jimmy or who is starting.

Gonna be pissed if we allow Kupp to surpass Jerry Rice against us.

Rams are a physical team. Our DBs better wear some extra protection.
