Garoppolo was saying he couldn't grip the ball a couple of days ago. At least with Lance they can move him around to avoid the pass rush.
Anyway if ATL stops Hll from running NO should lose and it won't matter.

QB Nate Sudfeld was NOT activated from P-squad. So Jimmy Garoppolo has been cleared to play. After taking part in limited practices Wed, Thurs & Fri, Garoppolo is expected to start Sunday vs. Rams.
I thought at first it might be possible Trey starts and Jimmy is backup, but I guess the rationale is if coach believes he's healthy enough to backup, he's healthy enough to start.
Wasn't a great season, fellas, but hopefully enough to build on next year.

BUT that is not the troll move that is what everyone expects.
Could you a imagine first at the start of the game lance comes in. Everyone would flip out.
Then jimmy comes in for a 3rd and 5. And everyone flips out again.

Honestly I think Ward and Kwaun being back is MORE important than who we start at QB this week. Huge news to have them back.

Yes Ward is the biggest news for sure.

Nice to have the DBs back. I actually think the secondary might be the strongest it has been since week one now that Thomas is playing well and Eman back.

Last game wasn't as lopsided as it seemed. They had a ton of drops in key spots that could've changed the game. Beckham and Miller are adjusted in now. Stafford will protect the ball this time. I expect heavy running to the outside and play action deep to test our secondary coming off covid, as well as the tendency for all of them to get grabby.

Good point, but also this team has developed a pass rush and the DB's are more experienced than before. The offense, I think, is stronger with the development of Jauan and Mitchell, plus a healthier arby corps in Hasty, and Wilson. I think Sermon is possibly another body they can add to the arby corps in the coming weeks if we make the playoffs.
I think it's going to be a close battle with turnovers determining who is winner and who is loser.

My gut tells me that starting an injured Jimmy is the wrong choice. I hope I am wrong though.

Gentlemens agreement between McVay and Shanny, three runs up the middle, punt, repeat, take a knee to end the half, regulation, and OT. Nobody needs to get hurt, they win the NFC west, we slide in and send the Saints home crying, then take each other's heads off next week

Agree. Whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game

Everything else should be the same.
Norman on the first series, need him to get in OBJ's head and get some on field drama poppin' and get them both ejected. Helps us and hurts them
Then Ambry off the bench.
