It's to prevent score board watching, resting players, making sure every game has meaning. So ours, AZ vs Seattle, NO vs Atlanta all at the same time.

Does anyone else remember a final game scenario where both playoff bound teams would benefit from a tie? How would you all feel if both teams just kneeled until time ran out? I'm a bit ambivalent about it. On one hand, doing everything under the rules to create the most competitive advantage should be considered, but on the other, the blowback from the league and media would create a circus. In the end, I want them to play, but I would also love to go into the first round with an extra week of rest.

I went to the first MNF game vs the Rams. This time Theo & I will be watching from CHLA!

I believe the Chargers and Raiders are in a similar boat this year. If they tie sunday night and Colts lose both get in.
