SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at LOS ANGELES RAMS - 2021 Season Game 17

This is where I'm at. If he balls out, I'll be ecstatic. I just feel like we're gonna see less than stellar play from a guy who has zero capability of toughing anything out, then when we're down 3 or more scores coach will trot Trey out and further wreck his confidence. Game just has disaster written all over it.

I agree. This game is not going to be like Week 10's. I know show Shanny is gonna rely on the run game but I bet the Rams will stack the box and make Jimmy (or Trey) beat them. With Jimmy throwing alot of passes today with that bad thumb, not so sure. The Rams will want him to throw alot because it plays into their favor. On the other side, OBJ is much more familiar with their playbook and then you have Kupp on the other side. Our secondary is gonna have a long day no matter who's back there. If the DL doesn't rattle Stafford again, and I have to think they will be prepared this time, we will all be rooting for ATL this afternoon.

Watching fox pregame…apparently Sean Payton called Mcvay and wants Donald to play angry. Wonder if he offered $25k to injure Jimmy too.

I wanna see Jalen Ramsey play angry to the point he punches his teammates again.

This game isn't as big of a deal for the rams as it is for the 9ers. I think the rams would save themselves for the playoffs instead of beating themselves up over this game.

Rams are playing for a division title though

We'll know what kind of day we'll have in that 1st quarter.
For those bettors. 5/1 props on defensive td by either team.
I do like aiyuk over 44 yards though this game.
Jimmy starting is actually really disappointing to me. You have a guy you spent the farm on, healthy and hungry, and you go with the injured guy that's a lame duck?

It's either a lockerroom thing or trey is really not ready.

Right, rams have reasons to win, but they're playing next week regardless of today's outcome.

It's all Shanahan - Jimmy is his boy.

I think its more Trey is not ready. I know Trey has only started twice but he holds the ball to long. He doesn't have the quick release that Jimmy has. Against the Rams DL, you need to get the ball out quick.

This will be the first time where both QBs split reps during the week. I'm guessing Lance will be in the game somehow.

I might be wrong but today's outcome come determine if they have a home playoff game or not.

Cooper is playing for several franchise records.

Kyle has been adamant from day one of minicamp that Jimmy is the starter and Trey is the backup this year and that nothing, barring an injury that physically prevents Jimmy from playing, will change that. We've tried to look for a shift in Kyle's stance all season, but he's never wavered from that.
