How do the Cowboys linebackers compare to the Rams?

Fasterz not as physical at the point of attack. LA is helped by their tremendous DL, especially Donald in the middle. DAL doesn't have anyone elite in the middle and so I see a lot of split zone and counters/reverses being very effective because they have to attack hard to makeup for lack of real good interior play.

Me neither. I guess our LB depth is not that bad. Nzeoch has been out backup LB for a number of years, and he doesn't even make the team this year.

crap. I figure after we win we will have to play Packers on a short week! There is no way the Cards/Rams winner will play on Sat so their NFC game will be Sunday which means we would have to be on Saturday, being the other NFC game. hope I am wrong.

This week they put the AFC on Saturday and the NFC on Sunday (except one game), so I hope that will continue another week.
I hope they do that… it will be more fair, since packers already have had a much longer rest than Niners, and then give Niners only 6 days?
Me too, but...

They're going to do all they can to advantage the one seed so we'll be playing next Saturday if we advance tomorrow

San Francisco had the one seed in 2019 and played on Saturday, so this seems realistic.

My guess is if we win and play the packers we will play Saturday. If we win and the eagles win then we play Sunday.

If you're GB, who did you spend more time gameplanning a head start on? PHI, DAL or SF? To me, you'd spend 50% on SF, 30 on DAL and 20 on PHI

Why would they spend any time on Dallas? If Dallas wins, they get the winner of LA and Arizona. Assuming Philadelphia loses.

Just finished a lowdown from my bro in Ft Worth, diehard Cowboy fan. Says L side of OL is weak, and problematic. Also that Dak hangs onto the ball for up to 4.0 seconds. I can only hope he tries that against Bosa Arik Key Ebukam Street, Givens DJ Jones, and somebody i forgot. Our DL is going to be a very large surprise for Dak…and McCarthy.

DL is good with two good Edges, but their Run D is not so good. Will be interesting to see how they go about handling Deebo, Aiyuk, Juaun Jennings, Elijah, au jus, and kittle. If they double kittle like LA did, then just more easy balls for Aiyuk, Debo, JUaun, et al.

If Dak really holds onto the ball for 4+ seconds, he may have a long day. No question with Jimmy's 2,3 -2.7 seconds, we have an advantage. Micah parsons is a stud, so is DL Lawrence. They are #1 in INTs (one guy has 11 of them), and have decent DBs. Zeke is a great runner, but his best days are behind him. They do have a very good #2RB.

Jimmy has the torn thumb ligaments and bone chip fracture, making Dak a better QB than we have…physically. Plus he has thrown for a ton of yards. We'll see how our DL allows Dak to …well, that is the question…what will our DL do to Dak?. I dont think they are contemplating our DL being as good and deep as it is.

Their 4 top WRs, now down to 3, are all Aces. Lamb being the best. But our DBs E-man and Ambry are playing better and with Dak under pressure, who knows which QB plays better. Note: if Jimmy goes down, we got a superb #2QB. If Dak goes down…unh…cowboys are in a world of hurt.

Coaching? advantage 49ers.

Bottom line: our DL, and now DEEP OL…may very well carry the game…IOW, we may win with way better trenches. Plus we got depth in both. And coaching advantage. They got stars…so do we. Be interesting how kyle goes about game planning.

Perhaps bubba, but those of us who have "sensational brilliance" know that Dak is the better QB even when both are healthy. Dak is a top 10 QB. Jimmy somewhere in the next 10 probably. So, I think this will come down to Ryans making him and his protection make mistakes. We are going to really depend upon confusing coverages to make Dak hesitate long enough for our pass rush to get to him. I'll say this about Ryans: he knows how to confuse QBs and pass protectors:

A perfectly orchestrated zone blitz. Warner forces the guard to go inside, Ward forces the RB to block outside (RBs should be blocking in to out usually, so good job Ward), and Greenlaw gets in Stafford's face. Meanwhile,on the back end, Ebukam plays it perfectly, chasing the deep in just long enough to confuse Stafford before expertly moving to the shorter route, passing off the deeper one.

This play here is defensive brilliance. We'll need a lot of that to make Dak throw picks and take sacks. Because he's really, really good at throwing under pressure. But he's also great at throwing when defenses drop 7. In fact, he's better when they do that, according to NFL.com (here). So, we'll need to really mix it up, and knock the crap out of him.

I think it is worth noting that Dak is not all that great against teams outside the NFC East.
While his record is an impressive 25-6 vs the NFC East…His record is a pedestrian 28-26 vs the non-NFC East.

For what it is worth, Jimmy Garoppolo is 4-0 against the NFC East and 41-18 vs the rest of the NFL.
Just sayin.

We ran that same zone blitz Sunday and rocked Stafford for an incompletion in 3rd down, which led to the FG drive right before the half.
