who said that? he's always in phase with whoever he's covering but just misplays the ball.

good break down jonny There were 3 guys covering Kittle on that last Jimmy int. That's triple coverage

Like how you showed how KS adjusted and ran plays to fool the Rams defense. especially on that pass to Aiyuk where they break off their routes

We eviscerated Ryan's but we gotta give him credit. Getting us here with Norman at CB is nothing short of remarkable. In my eyes this season was a major success. A competitive product on the field with some hope for the future in lance and young defensive players as well.

I think he did get beat. If I'm not mistaken he had no help over the top and was chasing in a trail position with OBJ steaming ahead. A better throw and that's another PI or a touchdown.

positioning. In that situation you can't be trailing. Supposed to be in front of him

he was even and he has 4.3 speed

he slowed down bc he saw the ball and adjusted

OBJ won a foot race to nowhere...congrats?

Yeah, that pick was on OBJ. Stafford threw up a jump ball because OBJ says he wins jump balls. Instead of fighting for the ball, he won, as you said, the race to nowhere.
Excellent breakdown vid to go along with an awesome last regular season game.

Yeah. Why would Thomas keep running stride for stride with OBJ when he's tracked the ball and determined it was under thrown? We've seen it before, a 49er CB runs into a WR when the ball is under thrown and gets a bs defensive PI. Too many times we've seen that happen.

I think that's exactly what Stafford was trying to do, get OBJ to come back for the ball through Thomas, drawing the P.I. except both things didn't happen.. OBJ didn't come back for it, and Thomas didn't lose track of the ball.

Thomas was an entire yard ahead of OBJ when the ball was released, in perfect lockdown position. He's been burnt in the past, but this was definitely not the case here.

Stafford was really short with reporters after the game about that pick. He was asked about it and before the reporter even finished the question he said, "left it short, that's it"

He for sure did not get beat. Now who knows if obj comes down w a jump ball but ambry wasn't beaten at all on the play
Where did Dennard play? I say he had a decent amount of snaps but I never noticed him.

He was shutting down #10 in the slot. He looked pretty good in man coverage.
Good breakdown Johnny. It's nice to slow things down and take a look at the details.
Jeez, JD,, the plays showing why Ram bit on the same play later just makes me admire kyle even more. Then to see how Meco schemes the blitz is mind blowing. Terrific video, all of it, but those two things were definite highlites. Thanks , amigo.
