Fascinating exchange on NFLN just moments ago. Between MIchael Irvin, Coach Mooch, and Kurt Warner.:

Michael Irvin: " the 49ers OL is better than the DAL DL, and the 9ers DL is way better than the DAL OL. Dak is going to have to beat the 9ers front 7 if he wants to win. Mooch said same, which is exactly what i posted 3 days ago.

This is a "lines" game, and i just don't think DAL OL can beat our DL nor do i think their DL can beat our OL. None of the NFLN guys thot DAL DL can beat our OL. If that is true, then we win.

Our OL played so well against the Rams that it was a bit hard to believe. Granted it didn't look like that for the first 29 minutes of the game. AFter that, tho, it was all 9ers OL , all the time.

As for DL, in first half they were played pretty evenly. But in 2nd half , it was again, all 9ers DL all the time and they just flat out overwhelmed Stafford. When you factor in our front SEVEN (yes, ALL 7) , it is hard to see how DAL wins this game.

Sure it's possible DAK becomes Superman, but short of that, having both lines beat your lines….that doesn't work out well for the cowboys…matter of fact it doesn't work well for most teams.

I'd be amazed if we held them to under 3-4 TDs.

Nerves are setting in and I'm fearing a shootout.

I think if you can be honest about this team, it was always expected we'd get into the playoffs and maybe even win one. That's exactly where we're at.

But that's about as far as this roster can go. It was never a Superbowl roster IMHO, of course.

I agree with you to some extent but we are also 7-2 in the last 9 and easily could be 9-0 or 8-1. We are playing our best football and are relatively healthy.

I think we can beat the Cowboys and can give anyone in the NFC a run but something tells me we will beat ourselves in one of these games.

But to your point, we certainly have a number of recurring themes of shooting ourselves in the foot at the worst times.

Thats true, I've watched the niners all season shoot themselves in foot over and over ,,, but I also have seen them them scrap fight and battle their way to come back from imploding to pull out the win ..IMHO that brings a team together which creates confidence,,,which can turn into greatness ..I've seen 1 game in which Montana came back against the Saints , that game started a dynasty ...I'm not saying that thats where were at today ,but history does repeat itself ...

For sure. So much is about momentum. Not many teams are as hot as the 9ers right now.
