SF 49ers at Packers - Pregame thread 2021 Season Divisional Round

This is the wrinkle that will be exploited when you have a play caller like MS. If and when we have to use him this is the game and the environment and the stakes when it is done. We did not have to against Dallas and granted they did have a Micah Parsons. Running at him was the ideal way in which to exploit him. He ain't in this game and if GB sells out to stop the run then I am fully confident we have the personnel in which we can GASH them repeatedly!

Not to mention SF was to 7th ranked offense NOT GB! SF was the 3rd ranked defense NOT GB! All this talk about how we are supposed to be in all types of trouble stopping their offense with our even better defense to me sounds as if we should all of a sudden mail it in and make plans for vacation when I am not seeing that.

What I am seeing is that BOTH defenses have their work cut out for them defensively and that with our defense being better then theirs and with our offense being more productive from a yardage standpoint than theirs and with our HC I like our chances to make this a competitive game that can go RIGHT DOWN TO THE WIRE!

I know Rodgers is god at QB but he still has to face this defense and this coaching staff and this won't be any walk in the park. It is gonna be a 60 minute fight!

The edge will go to GB because of their crowd. Their fans will be louder than SoFI and AT&T stadium. Put them on a neutral field and we win 4 out 5 times

I think Shanahan is a way better coach than LaFleur

Based upon what?

How about this? This is in a MUCH tougher division, with a lesser QB.

Hard to cheer too loud when it hurts to breathe.

Yeah, problem is our QB. I have no idea how he'd normally play in that cold of weather, but his injuries are obviously limiting him. His QB rating has been going down every game since Tennessee. I am really worried about how well he'll not only take care of the ball, but just how accurate he'll be in general.

We won't put Jimmy out there if we don't KNOW he can make the plays that will win us the game

Also, Jimmy has a good road record. I know it effects the OL and everyone as far as false starts but at least I feel like Jimmy probably won't be rattled

Watching our early season matchup vs GB on NFL Network. Down 10-0 and Jimmy threw that deep ball to Kittle where Alexander's speed outran Kittle to the ball for the INT.

So Jimmy throws an INT after being down 10-0 and we still barely lost.

Because we have a second half team. We have a HC that consistently makes the half time adjustments and gets a play calling flow as the game goes on and as he has worked throughout the game to set defenses up. This is why I believe this game will go down to the wire
Well, Ozark is back! Now I know how to pass the time until the game tomorrow.

Great play and awareness by Alexander, he left his cover 3 zone to make that play. KS should run the exact same play tomorrow using Kittle as a decoy and counter it with a delay leak route for Aiyuk to Alexander's zone that he left to make that play....ToucDooooowwwnnnn Saaaan Fraaannnssissccooooooooo!! Niners starts 7-0

Don't be. I am loose because I know we are going into this game playing on house money. In my mind we were supposed to handily defeat the pretender Cowboys but this GB team however should be favored as THE TOP FREAKING SEED FULLY HEALTHY! This should have us coming in with something to prove and mouths to shut up!

After tomorrow, Rodgers career as a Packer might end…

Then comes all the Jimmy trade scenarios. It's going to be crazy for the next couple of months.
