Who is the player screaming: "I think we ain't done yet?"

Anyone?

I think that's Fred Warner because there is video of him saying the same thing out on the field before they came into the locker room.

Morning after: What I'm loving right now is how we not only move on to the NFCCG, and ended the Packer's season..but we may very well have ended them for a while. I believe we just sent them into rebuilding mode. Rodgers and Adams will be gone, and with them, their offensive strengths. I think we have seen the last of them in the playoffs for a few years.

Here we are in the NFCCG with a chance to win it all, and because we finished third in the division we get a pretty easy schedule next year. Y'all seen the opponents list for next season? 9 home games and a pretty easy schedule outside of the division games. Now is our chance to repeat in back to back years, and with two different QBs.

Even if we don't win the NFC or SB this year it has set things up really well for next year. Trey Lance is learning a TON about what it means to lead a NFL team by watching Jimmy G, things like trusting the defense and running game when needed, how to keep composure when bad plays / INTs happen, etc.

99% of the players love playing for Shanalynch because of their honesty. That goes a LOOONG way. Let's say they tradd Jimmy next season, but another vet QB has a chance to come to SF and be Lance's back up. They call Jimmy, and what does he tell them? He tells them that despite being replaced he has total respect for Shanalynch because they were completely up front with him about their outlook and his role in it. That they still coached him with the intent that he play his best. That they leaned on his strengths in leadership and poise even when his thumb/shoulder was not 100%. That the locker room they have is golden.

These things go a long way in sustained, annual chances to compete for championships. Injuries may throw things into down years, but when you have a reputation for players wanting to play for you and be within your culture it goes a long, long way to continued success.

Brilliant post and insight!

Gotta also show some love to Dontae Johnson. Not too bad man. Helped solidify the secondary yesterday.

Same with Ward, I'd see him slide down to defend Adams too.
Anyone hear an injury update on Trent Williams?

Did anyone else think Aikman was fantastic this game? He was very honest and gave great insight into the game as it played out.

I remember when he said Jimmy had some guys one on one on the outside, but played it safe which may be wise given the weather and pas rush etc.

I thought it was great commentary.

Agree and a lot better than Romo last week.

Aikman is a solid color commentator.

Joe Buck even made some great calls. Buck's call on the blocked punt was appropriately enthusiastic/surprised and then Aikman did a great job praising Willis for his remarkable effort.

GB took the opening kickoff and went right down the field to take a 7-0 lead. So no we wouldn't have lead the whole game.

Okay way to be a technical smart ass. Lol you know what I meant. We should of had at least 2-3 more field goals and a touchdown. That equals more than the packers for a majority of the game.

Peter King was in GB for the game yesterday it seems, so I expect an epic write-up by him in FMIA on Monday.

Probably all about Rogers

LOL, true. But he's done epic writeups on Shanny before, so could be giving him/Demeco/49ers defense and special teams some loving.

What I'm not seeing talked about on this thread is the fact that we were only down, because we were beating ourselves. Specifically the drops. The int by Jimmy - he shouldn't of thrown that, especially injured. He couldn't get enough on it.

if our team didn't make EVERY mistake you could early on, we would of had a lead the whole game. That should give everyone a little confidence moving forward, we kicked our own ass AND still won!

the mental toughness of our guys, to fight till they can't fight anymore, is so impressive.

Per my previous list, we actually do this a ton. It's super frustrating and I agree, it's never talked about...cuz, Jimmy Garoppolo

Jimmy is a flawed QB, but in only the 2 full seasons he has started - he has brought us more success than any other QB has for the 49ers since Steve Young. You would think after literally 20+ Years of complete dog s**t QB play and being a bottom dwelling team, that fans would be a little more appreciative.

Its one thing to hold another player accountable for their mistakes/weaknesses, but to burn the guy at the stake? Lol

The Niners also blocked a FG that would have put them up 10-0. Both teams had their share of drops and missed blocks. Both QBs were pressured. I actually think it was a well played game considering the weather conditions. There weren't a ton of penalties either. It's another game out of several down the stretch that could have gone either way. I'm just happy that they've been going the Niners way. I worry that the next one will go the other way. These close games are killing me.
