I have been a Niner fan since about 1970, that Christmas everyone my age got a Niners uniform with helmet as a gift but my parents blew it and shopped late. Teams that won the first 2 matchups and then met that team in the playoffs are 14-7. That doesn't sound impossible. Some teams just don't match up well against another team.The Cards don't match up against the Rams. The Niners can't beat Seattle.

By the way I didn't know there was such a thing as a loyal Rams fan. I hear there are nearly as many 49er fans as Rams fans down there. Not surprising since the Rams were gone so long.

This is when economics really plays a part in sports. The niners get the benefit of being a well-established team from the the most astronomically expensive place on earth, meaning that "normal" jobs pay way more to keep up with demand, and that money makes all other places in America uneven. I grew up in CO and the only people buying the expensive houses in the mountain towns were Californians. Dropping $2k for two seats for most of America is asinine, but for the bay, it's like ... yeah sure, that seems reasonable. We're ousting them in a way that the NFL can't really regulate.

What a guy I heard something along those lines didn't really get the exact quote I'll have to watch it again but man coming from an elite HC like that one of the best to do it. He certainly knows both clubs. I really think he's on to something!
