So when/if Lance starts winning it'll be just in time to re tool core players again. so hopefully he's the PUT THE TEAM ON HIS BACK kind of QB. i hope so

I agree that people are getting carried away somewhat in their expectations but that "at least 3 years" number came straight from out of your butt.

Joe Burrow is in the SB in his second year, and after missing most of his rookie season and only starting one year in college. Lance doesn't have to be a Top 10 QB next year for this to be a playoff team. As long as he can play within the offense, hit the open receivers when they are there and let the run game and defense go, they can go pretty far.

They made it to the NFCCG game this year with basically zero contribution from most of their 2017, 2018 and 2020 1st round picks. I think you're greatly overestimating the impact of what two likely late 1st round picks would have.

They have their stars in Deebo, Kittle, Bosa, Warner, Armstead, Williams and Aiyuk locked up. They just need to continue filling the team around them and will have plenty of draft picks to do so.

Funny you talk about "zero contribution" first 1st round picks, and then over half of the names you listed as core stars were 1st round picks.

Great, and they are all on the roster already. We're not talking about this losing out on Top 5 draft picks but picks in the late 1st that become far more of a crapshoot.

Two late 1st rounders won't be the difference between the team winning or losing, that's just you getting unnecessarily dramatic.

There's definitely more pressure to hit on their other picks but that's just something they'll have to do, something they've shown they can do.

Deebo, Kittle, Warner, Greenlaw, Ambry Thomas, Elijah Mitchell, Jauan Jennings, not one of those was a 1st rounder. They'll need a few more hits like that.
Gio Carmazzi it's not over yet let Gio cook
It should be Trey and no one has any business using the B word till after at least 2 full seasons. I mean if people really want to you can't stop them from calling him a bust after his first loss as the actual starter but they'll be completely full of s**t.
Tom Brady oh wait we kept the bum over him when he came for a signing visit
It's going to be Trey time but at the end of the day no matter who it is, my expectations are NFCC or better.

Trey can get us there - we have an awesome running back, to go with a great TE, with outstanding receivers. Our defense is stout with almost everyone coming back. We got two up and coming CBs. I'm jacked for next year with Trey behind center. Without question Conference Championship is in the cards.

I wish they'd just call Brady and have him demand a trade from the Buccs, but yeah, most likely its Lance. It's going to be a lot of ups and downs and rookie mistakes

After all, he recently mentioned, "I'm not looking to come out of retirement, but never say never"

Joe Burrow has played a loooooootttttttt more football then Lance.
Lance started one year in high school, 10 games. He barely attempted 100 passes. 113 to be exact
He started 17 games in college. Threw 300 passes.
This was in Minnesota and NDSU
Burrow started 40 games in high school throwing 977 times.
He started 28 games at LSU and played in more at Osu, throwing 945 passes.
He also has 4 star pedigree and a national championship cutting Bama down on the way. Not many similarities

If draft picks that don't work out are labeled as busts, what do we call FA signings and trades that don't work out? Because to me, those are more inexcusable than draft busts. Teams already have an idea how they'll perform at the professional level, injury histories and so on, whereas drafting talent is a gamble on how college skills translate at the pro level.

I'm all in for Rodgers, but wouldn't mind having Brady in next season (maybe 2) to give us a legitimate chance to win a SB (or two) with a loaded roster. Guys like Trent Williams deserve their ring now before they get old. It's one of the many regrets we have as an organization….class guys like Joe Staley and Frank Gore left without the rings they deserved. Let's win one SB now…then continue to build for the future with Lance.

I guess that depends on why exactly the player didn't work out.
Joe Burrow

Just need attention paid to the O line and we are good to go.
