Mahomes.

could've had that in 2017....but Lynch just had to draft his college classmate Solomon Thomas

Wasn't it lynch who wanted him but Shanny wasn't interested in him?

Lynch really wanted Solly based on them attending a class at Stanford together (and prob his family heartstring off-field story)....Kyle IIRC let him do that (they were both rookies at their job...it was their first draft ever a firstime GM and HC) in exchange for that one RB (Joe Thomas?) that Kyle really wanted...or maybe so long as Lynch also traded up to grab Reuben Foster in the first.

TLDR; they whiffed on all three *and* missed out on trading down from pick #3 to acquire as much picks as possible since they were in re-build mode (while still having a chance at Mahomes.in like the 9th-13th pick range)

hindsight of course, and who knows if they properly develop Mahomes, but that was a big fail looking back now

Very unlikely.
100% Trey, we have invested way to much into him to not start next year. We would have to give to much for Rodgers or Brady when we already have a solid front D and solid receiver core. We still need to bolster up our CB positions as it is, we can win with Trey at least make playoffs with him and he should only get better as the season progresses.
It's Lance, just out of sheer curiosity at this point, it's gotta be Lance. Find who you can in the draft to address the secondary. Retool the right side of the O line, get Mostert back, get Kinlaw back and maybe Verett and roll from there. That's our road. Maybe you could add someone to run a 9 route but that's about it. Niners need to focus on the division now since it looks like the NFCW will be the cream of the crop going forward.

lets just hope Trey has some magic touch against the Seahawks. If we could ever beat those turds this game could of been at home.
We have a legitimate shot at Rodgers, why not?

No, we don't.

Green Bay is not going to trade one of the best QB's in the league to us.

Plus, we have nothing to offer them.

Who would you prefer, Rodgers at 38 or Deebo at 26? We can't afford both.

Trey Lance, that's what you spent three 1st round picks on.

1 year deal with Aaron (wishful thinking here). We can wait a year to extend Deebo. It will cost a lot more in the long run, but the one year with Rodgers might be worth it

Cool, now what are we going to offer to get him. We have no first round pick, a luxury other teams have.

We're going to have to offer a player. Are you willing to give up someone like Warner or Aiyuk, because that's what it would take to get Green Bay to even think about wanting to trade him to us.

That's if you can even get Green Bay to listen. What incentive do they have to make themselves worse, and a conference playoffs rival better?

How would you even propose a trade when we have no first round picks to offer this year or next.

Why is everyone saying it was three 1st rounders? We gave up two firsts and swapped first rounders.

We're gonna have enough trouble finding a decent vet to back up Trey, or if worst case he's not yet "ready", to learn Shanny's system well enough to start a few games without putting us in a hole.

Hey maybe CJ comes back on a cheap 1 year deal.

That's the damn pond we'll be fishing in.

Rodgers or Brady…

reverse your curse, Aa ron.

I'd give up warner and kittle. Both overrated as hell. Besides clear us the cap room anyway.
