Rodgers is a f**king cancer. Part of the reason this team was so successful was the team unity with jimmy. Lance looks like a team player. Rodgers appears to be about him.

Option 1 should be "Trey Lance"
Option 2 should be "Im delusional"

Going with a vet and sitting Trey for another year is not an option for me.

A majority of fans want TL to start next year. This team is going n it's window right now, to win ships. I know JG isn't flashy and sometimes gives you stroke with some of his passes, but the dude led us to a SB, and a title game. Who is too say TL, will do the same. He could start and regress this team while he learns the position. Im not saying TL won't be good, but hard to imagine a rookie taking us all the way. I know people will say look at Joey B, but that happens very rarely, and I would hate to lose players or waste the prime years of some of the best players in the league just bc we had to start the high draft capital player.

Jimmy topped out with us - he could only get us so far. Trey will be dynamic and get us farther than if we stuck with Jimmy.

Hypothetical: What if you traded Lance for Rodgers?
When Lynch called to trade for Rodgers the night before the draft, I'm sure he probably dangled the 3rd overall pick.
Rodgers on the Niners would net us 1 possibly 2 super bowls?

Does Rodgers even want to play next year? How many of our D would we have to lose to get under the salary cap. And without our 1st round picks this year and next year, hugely over the salary cap and with a grumpy quarterback who expects everything to revolve around himself and who will probably walk away from the game within a year or so, precisely how deep in the s**t would we be?

Top of the list of 'things that just won't happen' imo. Sure Green Bay would love it though.

Jimmy didn't lead us anywhere. The team wins despite Jimmy. If we had even a serviceable QB that could manage games and not set the team back we would have won 1 more SB and be playing in this one.

Getting rid of Jimmy is a godsend.

Me too my friend. My proof however was on the former official 49er board, which was deleted entirely and remade into a knock off. Mods are still just as absurd there. They make our mods look like gods.
