Class guy and a good quarterback. We needed better, though. Hope it all works out well.

I thought he was going to be the next great Niner QB after 2017, but he failed to live up to that hope. We won a lot or regular season games with him playing, and lost a lot due to his inability to stay healthy. Was a rollercoaster, but it was mostly fun.
Good luck on your next team, Jimmy. I just hope it isn't Pittsburgh, Oakland or any other team I despise because I don't want to have to root against you for the rest of your career.
Nice post and sums it up.

He provided us with many good times and a lot of heated discussions. Still think he would have turned out to be a better QB had he not struggled so much with injuries. He prevented the 49ers from signing Kurt Cousins so that's a plus imo. Good luck to him on his next stop. He is one of the better QBs to have played for the 49ers.

Jimmy seems like a solid dude and he had the teams respect. I wish him well in his football career (outside of playing the niners) and in life.

Honestly we probably would have beaten KC if we had Cousins.

Maybe. But if we have Cousins, we probably don't have Bosa, and to me, everything that happened that allowed the 49ers to land Bosa was worth it (Soloman/Foster busting, Jimmy ACL, Jet McKinnon ACL). All those things that caused the team to suck in 2018 was worth it.
