Excellent piece here from Trey.

Pretty sure this might've already been posted, but George Kittle said, "Every time you get into a huddle with him, you always believe that you can go score. And I think that's such a hell of an attribute because not everybody has that. Sometimes you get in huddles, and you don't really know. It's nothing against quarterbacks I've ever played with, but there's just a difference. You can just feel that energy from him. And he's just so confident in us and his ability. We all believe in him. When he looks at you, you (think), 'I believe myself, but he believes in me too.' And it makes me work a little bit harder.""

When people question how much of a role he played in all of the Wins we've had, I agree that he statistically has just been an above average QB. But I feel like he was an effective leader at QB, where his teammates rallied around him and played hard.

When I watch Fred Warner lead the defense, sure, he's an amazing middle linebacker... but the thing that impresses me nowadays is watching his leadership. He's propping guys up, making sure everyone gets into position... I think on-field leadership is an intangible we don't really appreciate as fans watching on TV.

Jimmy's a class act.
I'm so sure Trey is going to enjoy a very long, successful career and having Jimmy teach him how to be a pro will be a huge part of it.
Thank You Jimmy Gangsta‼️‼️‼️ I was called out a couple years ago by someone of "Italian descent" who thought my adding "Gangsta" to his name was somehow dishonorable. I have never thought of dishonoring Jimmy. There is not one person in or on the 'Zone who should be. This man has done more on the professional football field than anyone who has commented here. He's been hurt (and still is). He's won more games than any of the last three or four QB's combined. And he has taken this team to higher ground twice in three years. I enjoyed watching him play. Mistakes are made. He made them and still persevered AND won‼️ So once again THANK YOU JIMMY GANGSTA ‼️‼️‼️

Excellent post about JG - couldn't agree more!
I wish the best for him and he played some exciting games. I wish he could have went all the way, but hey, that's football...
Thank you Jimmy Garoppolo. Wishing you nothing but the best in the future. In my book... You will always go down as the QB that brought the team out of the darkness and gave us hope. Good luck!!
Thanks Jimmy! Took us from losers to being great almost instantly. There is no way to quantify the leadership and sense of belief that the team had that they could be great and Jimmy was a huge reason for that. Hopefully Lance soaked enough of that in to keep it going
You are a good man, Jimmy G. Thanks for everything you did for the team.
Such a shame we couldn't win one for Jimmy.

Always likable, fearless and confident.

I consider him to be an almost great!

lived his "f**k the Packers" comment

He took down the Cowboys and Green Bay on the road in the playoffs, something we should all be proud of.

It's time to move on but what a ride!

Thanks for the memories Jim, wish you nothing but the best!
this thread reads like an obituary LOL
