The Rams best run defender was out last game. He jammed and gummed everything up badly this time and out coaching staff didn't adjust...

They should have anticipated with him back in we wouldn't be able to run all over them.

Perhaps that's the case. We owned them 6 - 0 at the line of scrimmage though. For the last 6 games. What's changed so much for this game? Which player do you speak of?

See my previous post and stop repeating this nonsense question. Nothing changed. The Rams executed against our run game more often in those 6 games than they didn't. Some games other parts of our team could overcome the lack of a running game. Tonight, they could not.

Um, WHY do you think they felt comfortable selling out on the run?

Oh man,...I love our fans.

the right side of our line was weak sauce. They were all over it.

They couldn't execute that game plan for a 6 - 0 run against us. But they did tonight. So what changed so dramatically?

lol dramatically? They should've beat us last time but the football Gods were on our side.

Still waiting for him to acknowledge my post on the previous page.
Just my 2 cents.....

What the op mentioned is why the QB cant play the way he does, the further you go in the playoffs, your strengths are countered and your deficiencies bubble to the surface. How his issues are masked, our schemed and manufactured offensive plays plus the running game, couldnt bail him out. Therefore you have 3-9 passing with 39 yards and a pick in the fourth quarter, when we needed a QB to make plays.

Add to it, we must get a home run hitter on offense, rather it be Lance blossoming, and/or a number one WR who we can lean on when we come up short on our bread and butter, the running game.

Edit: 3 of 9 on 3rd down

They're a talented defense playing for the SB. Little different than a reg season game
We ran the ball better against them in the previous 2 regular season games but some of that was just bulk and controlling the clock. Offensively the Rams moved the ball the entire game, converted a sh load of 3rd downs, and kept a pretty fresh defense.

In the last game the Rams lack of ability to run the ball themselves bit them in the @ and they locked up the 2nd half.

Actually A'Shawn Robinson was eating up the left side too and couldn't do s**t there.

Yeah Trent was certainly not 100%. Rough man.

With Trey we must improve the o-line. I would even argue it takes priority over the secondary.

I think Trey WILL improve the line
What makes you say that? You realize that although Trey isn't a statue back there, he holds on to the ball way longer then Jimmy. Jimmy's release is one of the most elite in the game. The whole right side of this line needs to be replaced. Hopefully Banks or Moore can be the answer at RG. I'm also ready to move on from McGlinchey. Heck of a run blocker, not much else.

Yeah, but Trey has a cannon, Jimmy has a BB gun. What good is a quick release if you can't tell where it's going.
The fact we only lost by 3 despite having a much worse QB shows that our roster is better.

This and I think we just ran out of gas this game. Our D out much into the Dallas and GB game, our D was just tired and not prepared. Even Bosa said his legs were just out of it I think he said. With no help really from our offense on those last two drives, it wasn't meant to be.

If it wasn't for a couple dropped passes by the Rams, score could have been worse.
QB and secondary.. pretty much every one talking about it.
