ESPN said Kyle's last 3 playoff losses, he's been outscored 53-0. That's a coaching thing. And yes, that includes Atlanta.

Do you mean in the 4th?

Yes, sorry!

And if a team's selling out to stop the run, you need a QB who's able to hit over the top to get the defense to back off the line.

That's where Jimmy accuracy is bite us in the ass. That miss to Kittle was the perfect play call for that and Jimmy airballed it.

Same, or even a bootleg.

What proof do you have of that?

Mitchell top 3 at 39.61% seeing stacked boxes this yr according to next gen stats.

Weeks Jeff wilson was the starter

WK14 38.46%
WK15 28.6% (week he went off)

Trey sermon's lone start (W4) 36.84%

This isn't some new thing.

Jimmy isn't mobile enough to run a bootleg.

what is a stacked back? defensive backfield?

how man defenders are playing inside the box (near the LOS). Teams were selling out to stop the run, which should leave opportunities for passing plays.

Bad miss there but he averaged nearly 10 yards a pass AND saved Kyle's ass on constant 2nd and longs to go up 2 scores in the 4Q.

The issue is it's 2nd and 10+ and now you've got to throw lower % passes which plays into our poor pass protection and more chances of negative plays with a busted up Jimmy. Both weaknesses.

There's nothing in between. Like our outside zone...it's 2nd and 12 (bust) or a TD (boom).

Stafford simply took the short passes all day and was primed to take risks or not on 2nd down. Getting isolations with Kupp moving him all over. Nice creative trick plays too. They were even fully prepared for Juice's run after seeing it on film against GB.

We didn't run well all playoffs. And yes, it's football...a team game. You actually can win other ways but it stresses what you are built to do.

Top 3 Isn't "more stacked backs then any group of RBs this yr"

Yes Jimmy isn't mobile but I disagree that he can't run a bootleg. He's run it many times before with good effectiveness. Nobody is expecting him to run off it though, but at least it would have moved the pocket, relieved some of the pass rush and created a new wrinkle.

First pass of the game man. Stafford tossed a lame duck game losing throw in the fourth quarter. Put everything in perspective. Didn't see any sarcastic buls**t posts from Mayo on that one

+1
I mentioned before the game the offense has been abysmal the entire postseason. It carried into this game. Our strength is supposed to be our running game, and it was stymied the last 2.5 games. I'm not going to sit here and say I'm not disappointed. The lack of run game in the postseason is depressing.

We would have won, however, had the defense played better. Extremely disappointed in the defense yesterday. The team was up 10 amd that pathetic defense just let them go down the field at ease. Not a championship performance, and demeco was clearly outcoached. Hopefully he will learn.

No I was referring to your stat from ESPN. IMO there's a reason why Kyle spent up on a QB for once...you need some sort of balance and this team is pretty much at his breaking point of what can be done with Jimmy....and a NFCC is nothing to sneeze at, but you go watch those other playoff games and see what those QBs are doing for their squads. I think I saw about a handful of 3rd down completions from Burrow that were either extending plays or using his feet to get a 1st down. SF doesn't have that in their tool belt with Jimmy.
