Oh ye, and how about the "Draft someone with a pulse in the the first four rounds who can legally buy a beer" option?

Outside of Hightower, who exactly would you like to upgrade? The head coach that has just taken us to 2 NFCCGs the last few years? Or his coordinators that are interviewing for HC jobs? Maybe you're referring to position coaches like Kocurek and Welker? Nah, we good there.

we need adults in the room. Norv and Donatell as special assistants. Maybe younger dudes like bienemy or hackett, quinn or boyer. Shanny needs to get woken up and slapped around to make him hangry. He's loving his genius reputation too much. Blackburn for sure.

Outside of replacing Hightower and getting a CB coach and of course TE coach, the coaching staff is just fine. Every position group looks good and/or has developed players. I'd think these should be easy fills. A coach has to think being on this staff will be a fast track to greater opportunities. Would love if we made a run at Donatell for our corners. Could also groom someone in the event Donatell gets the calls to be a defensive coordinator again.
The 49ers coach needs to have some confidence in his OFFENSE as well as the DEFENSE instead of trying to rely on the defense all the time scoring ZERO points in the 4th of Super Bowl loss and the NFC Championship loss.

If Shanny goes for it and gets that 4th and 2 at the Rams 45, up 17-14, I believe we won that game. He relies on the defense too much IMO.

That said, aside from confidence, the team needs a solid #1 corner and more help on the Oline. Tom Compton does not belong out there lol.

PS.

Trey should Automatically make the Oline, RB, WR and everyone better by being mobile and the ability to extend plays. 2021 was a gift nobody expected to get, myself included. Super excited about 2022!

Earlier in the year had us ranked 8.

Offensive line can stand to be improved, but it's no worse than Jimmy was as a QB, and I'm 1000% sure you didn't think QB was a problem.

We're a fantastic run-blocking team, and graded as solid in pass protection during the year. Though how did we grade during playoffs?

Against strong defensive lines that were determined to shut down the run, it FELT like the O-Line struggled against Dallas, Green Bay, and ultimately Los Angeles.

All in all, I'm of the opinion Tomlinson needs to be re-signed, Mack is fine but we need to find his replacement, and the RG/RT positions need help. I feel like McGlinchey is hit or miss. Sometimes he can play great. Other times he feels like he's a liability. I'm hopeful he puts it all together after coming back from injury, but I dunno about him.

i actually disagree
If Shanny goes for it and gets that 4th and 2 at the Rams 45, up 17-14, I believe we won that game
We ran it twice in a row and lost a yard our OL was gettig dominated all game
Trey should Automatically make the Oline, RB, WR and everyone better by being mobile
I think Jimmys quick release actually made the OL a lot better. Trey will make receivers better and RB i agree but i think our OL lneeds to be a point of emphasis this year

Take it with a grain of salt. This is someone who has previously admitted to not watching the games after making outlandish claims

No one is talkin about shanny. He just needs some adults in the room to bounce ideas off.

I never said they had to or should even run it on 4th and 2. Just go for it and get it.

Secondly, Trey's ability to escape the pocket, being faster and the ability to make plays with his legs will make the whole offense better. He can buy time that Jimmy could not.

I also said the Oline needs help, explicitly. Maybe we don't disagree on much actually?

Just my $.02
