I think we're ok with Moseley and Thomas at the corners, but the safeties are a concern.

Unless you missed the last game, not sure how you can say that. We definitely need a top CB.

I think with more seasoning, they'll be ok.

We can do much better than "ok".

This is just about the improvement at RB i really like Mitchell but hes not durable enough for a full season. If hes available i would love to pair Mitchell with D'Onta Foreman. He runs real hard and can wear teams out while Mitchell burns you. Foreman is also perfect in the 4th quarter when you need those tough yards to run out the clock and hes only 25. As a back up option a pair of Mostert and Mitchell would be great but they both have injury problems.

Looking at all position groups here...

DT - We must retain DJ Jones. If he leaves as a FA, we have a hole on the interior DL. Getting Kinlaw back should help. But he hasn't proven himself yet.
DE - We need a pass rush thread opposite Bosa. Dee Ford has been a bust. We must cut him to get back some cap space. Ebukam was a nice suprise and I think we have him for another year. But we need to look to add another pass rusher on the outside.
LB - Al Shaair is a RFA. Hopefully we retain him. If so, this position group is solid.
DB - Ambry Thomas showed some promise and we have Ward and Mosely under contract too. I think we could upgrade our slot CB and S though and let Tartt and Williams walk. With Cooper Kupp in the division, having a top tier slot CB should be a priority.

QB - All in on Trey Lance. Not much else to say here.
OL - Both Tackle spots should be locked down with Trent Williams and Mike Mcglinchey. Mckivitz played well as a backup too. Retaining Laken Tomlinson should be a top FA priority. He's been stellar. But we should certainly look for a C and/or G. Mack won't play forever. Hopefully he comes back for 2022. But we should still groom a long term replacement. As for Aaron Banks, hopefully he steps up.... otherwise, Guard is a need too. Overall I though OL play was quite good this year, but we always seem to have depth issues.
WR - This is one of the teams strengths. Deebo, Aiyuk, and Jennings are a fierce trio (unfair if you count Kittle too). If we had a QB that could get them the ball anywhere on the field, we'd have a major passing game.
TE - Again, good here. Maybe could use some better depth.
RB - I love Mitchel. But clearly Shannahan likes a 1-2 punch. That's why he played Deebo at RB so much. We should look for that complementary back so Deebo can play more at WR.

Overall, roster looks pretty solid. I mean, we made it to the NFCC game. QB is the biggest opportunity to upgrade the team. DB and interior OL are next.

We MUST retain Laken Tomlinson, Azeez Al Shaair, and DJ Jones. If we do that, we don't have a lot of holes.

RB: I agree. Sucks that we spent a 3rd on Sermon and h as Wilson, but neither are beating out Deebo for carries or are able to Mitchell for a few downs. Not sure if the guy is on the roster, but maybe bring in Marlon Mack and Devonta Freeman in camp and see what happens.

WR: We desperately need a WR/ KR/PR that threatens to go the distance on any touch. I'd love to have Isaiah Mckenzie on the roster.

I'd love to grab James Cook in the draft. He's seems like another guy that can give us a dual position threat. There's something very Percy Harvin-ish about his game. Like a combo of Harvin and his brother Dalvin. Not as talented as either but definite enough skills as a RB or slot WR that Kyle would light up the league with him.

I agree.

The DB room makeover needs to continue. They added three fresh faces in 2021 and it would be nice to add one or two more rooks along with re-signing K'Waun and hopefully some durable FA upgrades over Tartt and Verrett.

OL: Who the hell knows what's up with Banks and Moore? But reports of Moore's regression and that neither came near close to cracking the lineup is pretty concerning. Same as the DB room, I could see them investing with the draft again, and hopefully they re-sign Tomlinson & another experienced FA to compete with our RFA's.

The decision on who they bring in to compete with Lance will be very interesting.

Yeah, I know - but, we don't have many options.
Need Mostert back. He has Tyreek Hill type of instant touchdown abilities. We missed that. Definitely need a top cover corner. Need a one more big WR. Need a veteran QB if Jimmy is traded. Trey is still too raw.
Shore up the o-line, & DB's, and add another edge rusher and we are set.

All of those positions/people are expensive and difficult to find.
It's the secondary for me. Imagine if we could give our pass rush another second or two to get home. If we don't improve the coverage our D line will just get gassed in a big game again. We shouldn't take that chance.

We need to avoid being stuck to only winning one way.
We were over reliant on the run game and over reliant on the pass rush.

I love K'wuan but he lacks speed, we could use an upgrade there at nickel. Also not sold on Hufanga taking over for Tartt.

I think we need OL help over anything else. Trey will need a clean pocket just like Jimmy did.

DB situation stabilized a bit with Thomas developing late. Moseley is very good (needs to wrap up on tackles tho), but I don't know that we can rely on Verrett even if he comes back healthy. Get a vet corner, or wait for Thomas and Lenoir to become starters?

They are an upgrade from what we've had, but either can be upgraded further. If we are fortunate and can find a true lock down corner this defense would be insanity. I'm not expecting Deion, but a corner who can take in the others team wr1 one on one changes what the coaches can do for sure.

Regardless we need some serious speed back there as well.

You know me bro- o-line, pass rush, and secondary.

I'm a big Mitchell fan, although I don't know if he ever fully recovered from the knee injury he had in the second Seattle game. It sure seemed as though his burst didn't seem the same after that point. I'm kind of liking the idea of bringing Raheem back and rotating the both of them in the hope that they both stay healthy. I think it's clear that both when Elijah was out, and then later in the year when he seemed worn down, that this offense doesn't operate at it's peak level without optimal speed at that position. If we can keep one or both (if Raheem returns) of them healthy then we can be more selective of when we use Deebo out of the backfield.
