I won´t say that Brandon Staley is a bad coach. His team played good football most of the year.
That bieng said they missed the PO because a team with Herbert as QB couldn´t beat the Texans week 16 which is something that the Niners and Trey Lance did the week after by the way.
And like some people said in this topic, there was ton of weird "go for it" moments by Staley this season. The home game against the Chiefs was unbelievable in that aspect.

Is lynn signed already?

One silver lining to going from McDaniel to Lynn and Jimmy to Lance is that our offense will be completely different. Well, to an extent. Opponents early on won't truly know what to expect as Lynn, who will likely be tasked heavily with certain game planning duties, will have a different spin on things, and with Lance's skill set being different, there will obviously be key differences in play selection as the offense is crafted to his strengths.

I have conflicting thoughts about this same idea as well.

Part of me thinks they won't Run Trey much at all. Bootlegs and rollouts etc for sure, but not that crap we saw in the first AZ game. Make him learn from the pocket and develop moving around in the pocket etc.

With that in mind we all know Jimmy misses wide open guys or simply never took the chance deep. (why?) So as much as it may change, maybe it will not?

That nice Lance to Deebo TD ... Jimmy would have totally took the intermediate rout to Aiyuk or been sacked because he would have never been able to roll out of the pocket lol.

His title is AHC which is basically about the pay check. Him and Foerster will be working the run game stuff with Kyle.

Not like McDaniels which was his FT job. But he'll give input most likely along with Foerster.
