I hope it's just the Roony Rule. I'd hate to lose Anthony - no draft compensation (I think - since Demeco and Ran Carthon will have new positions - I'm pretty sure) and one he's (I think) hell of an assistant coach. The 49ers run game is top notch.
Then again, I think the 49ers can block the move since OC would be actually a step down vs even a lateral move.
According to Washington Post reporter Nicki Jhabvala, the Washington Commanders have requested permission to speak with San Francisco 49ers assistant head coach and running backs coach Anthony Lynn about the offensive coordinator vacancy.

It wouldn't be a step down, it would be a promotion. The only recognized promotions are coordinator(playcalling) and head coach. As Lynn is neither right now, the 49ers can't stop him from taking interviews for one of those.

Aww Crap. I was hoping at least they could block the lateral move if not the interview. I guess move Griesi, Klay or Kubiak up the food chain. Man the coaching raids never stop in this organization.
Dam. No coach is safe
With OG Bobby T back, Lynn can take another job if he wants.
Niners getting 5 3rd round comp picks for diverse reward policy. Good s**t from a top notch sports organization. Bill Walsh would be proud with the continuation.
With OG Bobby T back, you can go.

Stop stealing our coaches a*****es!
There is a leak on this old building!!

Lol like Bobby Turner didn't just come out of retirement. You know what people do when they come out of retirement? They retire again.

Bobby Turner never retired. He had to take time off for medical procedures. Once he realizes he wouldn't need the time off, he came back to the team.

Facts. Id like to get a young coach, in their 20s for Bobby to mentor and be his assistant. I don't see Turner slowing down, but you gotta be ready with older coaches. Didn't Andy Reid regrettably turn to Juan Castillo to run his defense after the death of Jim Johnson?
