I like this move as it brings in another strong voice on the offense that can help Kyle in blending the new Trey Lance offense into the overall package.

All of this is true. Again I'll say, what a great freaking move man I love it!

There is a piece here for Lynn as well. He did not achieve what it seemed he should have achieved with the Chargers. Somehow the pieces just didn't quite fit. Spending time with KS and the staff here will put some polish on his coaching package, IMO.

i see it as more help with grooming Lance

Clearly, that has to be the main focus going into the new season. If this team stays healthy and does not go deep in the playoffs with Lance as QB, there will be hell to pay.

Well not entirely as he won't be the RBs coach but some of his role like in finding RB talent, yes. Also puts a McDaniels contribution to the run game replacement in house.

Has experience with mobile QBs as an added bonus.

The catch is that this is a good sign that McDaniel is going to be the next HC of the Dolphins. The running game was his specialty and what he focused most of his attention on. Lynn similarly is a run game specialist so I'm guessing he'll be taking over the responsibilities that McDaniel had and then some.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Brian Pariani was brought in to replace Embree. Both Lynn and Pariani have connections to Mike Shanahan going way back.

He was in Denver a few years after that, won 2 SBs with them. He got his start in coaching under Mike.

That was my thought as well. He should help cover us on the running game side of things should Mike get the Dolphins job, even if he doesn't this can only strengthen the offensive coaching staff. This kind makes makes woner if Mike already told Kyle he was gone? I guess we'll know more in the next 72 hours or so.

Anthony is a great fit though. He not only played here from 95 - 96, but he also played for Kyle's dad from 97 - 99 during which 97 and 98 were Super Bowl teams. I know there were a lot of Zone members who wanted Kyle to hire an experienced coach to bounce ideas off of, well we have that now and I don't think it can do anything but help. Great move .

Either way I'm good with it. Lynn is an experienced coach with HC experience. That's just one more guy whose input could be very beneficial.
