I think some are overstating the constant departures of Kyle's staff. That's how top businesses and organizations function and thrive. It's much better to train and develop talent who then leave to advance their careers, than to not develop them and have them stay.
It's a natural cycle. If we train and develop they will leave. If we don't develop then unfortunately they will stay. The latter is how organizations get left behind.
True but usually the CEO doesn't have to train everybody down to the mail room staff. Ha
Yes but you are assuming Kyle hasn't developed a culture of growth. That would mean that Mike McDaniel wasn't developing those under him along the way or that Saleh wasn't involved with the growth of Demeco Ryans. Instead, Kyle is the only resource for training and development. If that was the case then it would not be sustainable.
Personally, I believe the structure is in place for both development and recruitment that can not only survive turnover but thrive in it.
There is nobody under Mike. He's a coordinator. He was expected to stay a long while after his promotion. Lynch noted it was unexpected too. Unless you think a couple of the QC staff are learning under him but both offensive QC's were promoted to position coaches which states otherwise.
Overall I agree with your philosophy. Kyle has no choice but to create a training ground environment at this point. I think having 4 QC's for defense now is the start of building up a larger pool and pipeline and like you noted, from QC to Coordinator, Kyle is going to have to have all of these guys learn as much as they can from him and Ryan quickly and have the QC's train under both position coaches and coordinators and position coaches train under coordinators and Kyle/Ryan.
He's going to have to prep for losing 5 coaches every year. There's no way around it. He's got to have the largest coaching staff in the NFL ala Harbaugh during his tenure here.
