Both teams were hurt. I was only pointing out Hendrickson because someone else pointed out that our secondary was banged up in that game.

We won that game mainly because of mental errors on the part of the Bengals.
I'm not bitter, I just don't like the Rams. I'll pull for the Bengals but how much of the Super Bowl I watch is yet TBD.
I'll def. watch the game, in particular to see how often Holding is called on the O-Line of the Bengals, because we've seen a super bowl recently where a great defensive front was nullified by a crew who refused to call holding, so yeah, I'm bitter but will watch anyway.

And coming from NFC North terrritory I'm really sick of the whole Stafford narrative, I've seen him play a lot for the Lions and he's no different now with the Lambs. The media is ignoring his lead-leading Interceptions and Pick -6's and the goal line INT to a double covered Kupp while harping on Jimmy all the time. (it's time to move on from Jimmy don't get me wrong)

Still bitter, yes, but that's why we post sometimes right?

We could have one just because we are the better team. The niners had mental errors of their own. The only reason we are not in the Super Bowl is the right side of our oline sucks. We just can't draft serviceable linemen!
The only reason to watch the game is to see how a team can give up 9 sacks and still win a game.
I always watch because I'm a fan. I have a question for you. How many of you are going to a SB party or even know anyone that is throwing one.

I ask this question because you see all the advertising on TV about preparing for your party and stores are having sales to sell chips and dips and pizzas etc. The Sunday cartoons are all about people at SB parties. Do people actually have parties if their team isn't in the game? They make it sound like the whole country is one gigantic party.

In Eugene, nobody cares about the SB. If the Chargers were in it, then they would be excited because of Herbert, but otherwise it's just another day. When I lived in the Bay Area, I threw one SB party and that was in 1995 when the Niners played the Chargers. Other than that it was watch it at home or go to a friends house. I don't recall many people throwing those big parties that corporate America keeps telling us about. I'm not talking about 2 or 3 guys sitting around watching the game. I mean those big planned events with several people and all the special dishes to feast on.
Passing on this one.

I'm from Sac and had SB parties every year. But, I'm a die hard fan and like to watch the game and hear the commentators. After people kept standing if front of the TV and blocking my view, I would get annoyed. Kids running around screaming, or someone telling you a stupid story that you could care less about as you try to listen or watch. Too many distractions so I stopped having them. And don't like going to them. 😃

Amen to the distractions. Same goes for watching it in a bar. Half the fun is the commercials they show during the SB and if you can't hear them then they aren't funny.
I've watched the Super Bowl every year of my life, but I think I'm going to pass this year. I just don't have a desire to watch
Never do.
Regarding the NFC title game, there is pain for certain, but no bitterness. I believed in the 2021 49ers if they played their A-game. They didn't.

Their injuries, inconsistencies, and deficiencies could not be overcome in the end. I'm proud of the team regardless and look forward to next year.

Missing out on a chance to be playing the Bengals in the Super Bowl for a third time sucks, but there is no bitterness, even if the Rams win, .

That said, there will be a sweetness to it if the Bengals win.

We were up 17-7 at one point. Jimmy is a bum. Guarantee you Trey was standing there going what in the absolute eff after every one of Jimmy's rookie mistakes. Cinccy proves beyond any doubt that all you need is an all-pro qb and an ok D and your in the SB. If it were up to me, and Trey is legit, I maintain a ok/good D, (great pass rush) and go nuts on O.
I'm thankful to be at a point in my life where a 49ers win or loss doesn't dictate my behavior. In my younger years, I would get angry and let a loss ruin my day and affect my relationships with people, lol. So glad that's not the case anymore.
