He played QB in college but his time coaching in college and the NFL has primarily been on special teams or defense.

Hope he does well! Kyle so far has a good track record of hiring coaches so I'm confident in the hire.

Sure. I like it. I like how he has experience before on the defensive side too. Coached outside/assistant linebackers with the Browns.

Doubt he adds anything to the TEs group. I'm sure the WR and OL coaches will do most of the TE development and training.

People will move around early in their career. Kyle is giving this guy a shot. Hope he proves to be worth it.

Yeah, a very interesting background for a guy who is going to coach tight ends. I hope his Linebacker/Defensive back experience helps the TEs get better. His QB experience might help Trey and the TEs to work together better. If anybody can prepare Trey being blitzed, it would be a former QB who is coaching the QBs hot read (usually its a TE) on most downs.

Oh... Uh. OK. I thought we could do better, but he has to have been promoted for good reason considering who's out there available.

U may as well say, someone's gonna have to accept the 60% pay cut, why not someone to coach the TE and have that TITLE..
