Why not! I love the competition and the talent level at that spot right now.

Poe was arguably the best pulling guard in college football last year. Try him at RG and let him work. He may be a year away from being ready but I'd like to see Burford at RT and Poe at RG next year. Screw that, Brunskill is average at best playing guard….maybe Poe might be better by the end of this season
Agree 💯% El Jimmy! They definitely are trying him at guard and I think he has a shot at the 53. That frees up Brunskill to back up Right Tackle, Right Guard, and Center. Assuming McKivitz is being slotted for Right Tackle while McGlinchey is out.

El Jimmy that was a good one Giedi I'm so glad they are working Poe into first team reps with Banks. He probably won't win but at least we have a valuable back up guard. This way maybe we can try Brunskill at right tackle when MM is out. We know he performed much better as a Tackle than a center or a guard. I'm just a little worried that Poe will not be on our practice squad very long

Haven't heard Poe getting any 1st team reps, but he's been getting some 2nd team reps. I actually think Poe makes the 53 man if either one or both of MM, or Moore have to start the year on short term IR

I'm still worried they will try to put Poe on the practice squad while keeping McKivits and Brunskill. We should have let Poe compete at backup center and let Brunskill try to be the swing tackle.

Beyond horrific pick Banks was if he gets beat out by an UDFA. Hated the pick anyways especially with Samuel Jr still on the board

Poe split 1st team reps with banks at LG today. Several predicting he wins the starting LG spot. 53 seems inevitable now.
I'm guessing 9 OL on 53 or 8 with MM on short term IR.
Williams, Poe, Brendal, Burford, McKivitz
Banks, Brunskill, ?
IR McGlinchey
PS West, Zakelj

Poe has looked good but I don't think he's anywhere near beating banks for a starting role.
I think the plan is to work him in at RG next year, and move Burford to right tackle.
