pretty exciting that this guy is rising given all the uncertainty about how good or bad our line will be

Screw that, Brunskill is average at best playing guard….maybe Poe might be better by the end of this season
Agree 💯% El Jimmy! They definitely are trying him at guard and I think he has a shot at the 53. That frees up Brunskill to back up Right Tackle, Right Guard, and Center. Assuming McKivitz is being slotted for Right Tackle while McGlinchey is out.
El Jimmy that was a good one Giedi I'm so glad they are working Poe into first team reps with Banks. He probably won't win but at least we have a valuable back up guard. This way maybe we can try Brunskill at right tackle when MM is out. We know he performed much better as a Tackle than a center or a guard. I'm just a little worried that Poe will not be on our practice squad very long
Found out about your unique screen name via Google Translate.
I share the same worry about Poe. I think he has to make the 53 otherwise he's going to be on someone else's 53. Either Green Bays, Vikings or the Texans. I think there are several players we will lose if we put them on the Practice Squad, Purdy, Mason, Hasty among them. It's a talented team, and the NFL really penalizes talented teams that way. This Tuesday and next Tuesday are going to be nailbiters for me, personally.
I believe his screen name is dedicated to Carlos Hyde, correct me if im wrong. He went by El Guapo on social media.
I think though that Poe will 100% make the roster. The question will be when he will start. I think Banks will get the nod even if they think Poe is better because the value knowledge of the system more than raw talent. But injuries are unavoidable when it comes to this team and he will get his shot at some point. I just dont see many other lineman our team beating him out for a spot. Burford and Poe are going to be on our line for a long time! They exude everything that Shanahan wants in OGs. Quick and fast, with enough strength to hold their ground. They both look so natural passing off rushers too, like its second nature to them.
I loved el guapo in the three amigos so I had that screen name way before Carlos Hyde
I really hope they have a roster spot for Poe even if it's at the expense of a plethoraaaaaaaa of fringe players
I was secretly hoping you were Bas Rutten
That's right
If Poe makes the roster we are keeping 5 Wrs 4 RBs and 4 DTs to make room for the extra O Lineman. I hope he makes it. Not only is he one of the best pulling guards in college last year (I believe the best) his measurables are off the charts

question- weren't people thinking he might be our center? If banks and burford are solid, why not try Poe at center ?
Maybe down the road but I don't see Shany putting him in at center as a rookie with zero experience, especially at the center position.
He should be a lock to make the roster. The OL is too fragile to cut this kid and he is too good to try and put him on the PS.

If Poe is better than Banks, or the staff sees more potential in Poe, then start him over Banks. Draft pedigree be damned.

Seeing him demolish the DE in the Vikings game (I know, 3rd stringers) gives me visions of a Guy McIntyre type package if Poe isn't starting

I agree, play the best guy. I do however think we won't roll with 2 rookies surrounding a first time starter at Center.
I do wonder if we can get Poe or Banks playing center.

I'll bet my first born that Kyle schemes him into some "TE eligible" touchdown passes with 6 o line men on the field. Dude is too big, too fast, and has hands. It'll be awesome. I also expect him to sub into red zone plays to play fullback or even take it into the house

I agree. IF he's not starting I could see a lot of potential gimmicks in goal line or short yardage. As a TE or FB
