Same here.

The most shocking part is that there are fans out there being shock about this cut.

He is an undrafted FA. From the very beginning, he was on the outside looking in. He worked his way to be on the bubble. If you feel slightly surprised about this cut, sure. Feel shock means you somehow think he was locked for a roster spot. Only fans in this forum, not any Niners insiders, were seriously entertaining the idea he was taking Banks' starting spot.

He is likely coming back to the PS.

I wondered how many of you here are shocked no teams claimed him.

Shocked is too strong a word. I was surprised. His footwork is quicker than Banks. Has naturally low pad level.

IMO, they took a chance on getting him to the PS and it paid off. He has a chance to develop into a good backup/average starter.

I think WowMack is a home run, and that left Castro-Fields out in the cold. Ambry and Lenoir also were tough to beat for a rookie. Just an overabundance of cornerbacks this year. They did a real good job developing Ambry and Lenoir and choosing WowMack. The defensive backfield looks like it has some depth this year. Hopefully Ward comes back healthy and adds to it in 4+ weeks.

He was one of the few bright spots on the line this preseason and TW went to bat for him. If you want to focus on the word shocked, then thats on you....but I was very surprised at the cut. And I am not the only one.

The talent on Ambry is there. But he could be another Spoon, who can be good at times, but lack of confidence anytime he gives up a big play. Anyway he is a backup and that should be enough.

I knew they'd bring him back to the PS.

Sounds like you misused the word shock. This on you, but that is fine.

There's a reason why he went unclaimed. He is a PS talent and that's it, he's not ready to be an starter. Sure he will look good against other PS players. As I said before, another Marcus Rush.
