There's a reason why he went unclaimed. He is a PS talent and that's it, he's not ready to be an starter. Sure he will look good against other PS players. As I said before, another Marcus Rush.

I mean our two projected starters didn't look good the whole time against other PS players throughout preseason as well

He could be better than what we currently have right now.

The starters didn't look terrible and faced better competition. Poe was always playing on the second half with his fellow PS talents. And Poe is not better than the starters lmao it's not even close.
Yea folks talking like we just cut Quentin Nelson. Let's settle down a bit
anyone who believes Poe is close to Banks or Burford needs to learn more about OL play and stop listening to Trash Cohn

He was one of the few bright spots on the line this preseason and TW went to bat for him. If you want to focus on the word shocked, then thats on you....but I was very surprised at the cut. And I am not the only one.

No way he goes undrafted if there were any real interest in him. He's a good prospect that fell through the cracks, it's good scouting on the niners to find a prospect from Mercer that might grow into something we can use. As short and agile as he is, I would start training him at center.
Glad we can continue to develop this guy. Wonder if they will protect him from getting swooped during the season.

Banks and Burford also got pushed around by back-ups. Let's hope you are right about them being better than Poe, Lance's career could depend on It.

Wouldn't they have to promote him to the 53 to prevent him from being scooped? I don't see that happening unless someone gets Injured.

They are better than Poe that's a fact and it's the reason why they are starting while Poe went undrafted, unclaimed on waivers, and will spent the year on the PS

Let's hope so. I'm not confident In Lance or Burford, but I sure would love for them to prove me wrong.

I'm not confident in Lance being a better guard than Poe either. Right there with ya.

Nah more like folks acting like we got Quentin Nelson(s) ahead of him. We should settle down on the guys who have exactly the same amount of NFL starts as Poe

The coaches aren't going to put the worst options out there. If Poe was as ready as some of you think, they wouldn't have dared cut him. He's a good project that might pan out, definitely worth a shot, but a project.
