Banks and Burford also got pushed around by back-ups. Let's hope you are right about them being better than Poe, Lance's career could depend on It.

The coaches aren't going to put the worst options out there. If Poe was as ready as some of you think, they wouldn't have dared cut him. He's a good project that might pan out, definitely worth a shot, but a project.

If Poe was anything ready he'd have made it, as Purdy and Mason did. But he's not, therefore he is on the PS.
Lance, Banks and Burford will have their growing pains because of the inexperience. Any logical football fan shouldn't be worried about any of them, that's just ignorant and creating a hurricane on a glass of water.
how tall is this guy anyway? is he really 5'11"?
So glad he's back on the PS.

Instead of Jason Poe being a future Center, Guard or Fullback how about converting him to Defensive Lineman! He is fast, strong, and has a relentless motor. Could be our DJ Jones replacement. Let me know what you guys think. ✌️

But why?
Take a player that will fit perfectly in the offense, and abort that to try him on aside of the ballhe may not have played sinceHS.

Agree, I like him - eventually - at center. It makes sense for Poe to move to guard first and then center, once he's got all that experience to call the Offensive Line protection calls. He's one strong SOB! He'll be a dominant center for Kyle's run first philosophy - and he's very quick so that he'll have the tools to be dominant in pass protection too. Reay excited for Poe and the rest of the practice squad. They will need their depth if they win a Lombardi.

Give him a year as a starting guard and if that works out he could be our long term center, I like your thinking.

I think that failed enough during the nolan years it should never be tried again.

This year's preseason sweetheart was an OL or something.

Not impressed. Our DLine is quite strong enough. Why should we try to convert from a position of relative weakness to a position of relative strength?
It is incredibly rare for a young inexperienced players who have a chance to start at center for Kyle. Center calls the blocking scheme pre-snap. Kyle has always have preferred experienced center such as Mack, Richburg, Brendel, and Brunskill. I don't think any of our young guards will be our starting center anytime soon.
Read a tweet that Poe is now a FB, true ?

Very true. Lynch just said that Nick Zakelj will eventually move to C while first being tried at G.
I still want Poe pulling bc he is elite at it. Just make him the 6th OL or as a FB and run the s**t out of the ball on goal line situations
