Brian Schneider ST coach

This guy should be put into one of those human cannons and shot out across the bay.

We can all debate anything in here lol, but I don't think anyone will defend this unit. It's beyond horrific.

Honestly it was a fair answer. He said this in less words but pretty much admitted that they are holding the ST coach accountable but ultimately our coverage guys just suck so bad the coaching isn't enough to help.

Who fell down on the long punt return? Bell, DFF, Bethune. At least 2 of those guys have no business being on the team at all.

Does anyone here think that Dan Campbell treated the Lions ST unit the same way Shannahan did?
The league has caught up and surpassed the Shannahan way of ignoring/expecting them to just do their job and not really believing they can do anything special like fakes etc.
Schneider is just a patsy.....like all the others before him.

Kyle's idea of "shaking up" and "putting the ST on notice" is bringing in a no name punter for a tryout, lol.

Can Kyle fire this guy already? It's been a couple of seasons of the same s**t. Every game ST with a crucial mistakes. Every. Single. Game.

I really was hoping you bumped this thread to mention he's been canned.

Exactly what you said, and it does happen every game. The Niners can have some momentum going and up steps ST to blow it and give momentum to the other team - this is a huge issue against any team, let alone quality teams like the Chiefs.

Notice how the Chiefs are buttoned up in all three phases of the game? Serves them very well and they prey on any mistake given to them on O, D, or ST. I still feel like that very bad ST punt return turnover in this past SB was just the opening the Chiefs needed late in the 3rd. Turned out to be true, and to their credit they capitalized when they received the gift from the ball touching Luter's foot.

Niners' ST just needs to be even or better than the opposition and that would go a long ways towards giving this team a better chance in each game against any team. To me, it's on the coaching...there HAS to be someone better than Schneider out there and the Niners need to do what it takes, pay what it takes, to bring in that someone and place an absolute priority on turning ST around.

ST as a third phase is that important towards winning football games.

I heard about that. What happened to Roby who was good in the pre season?

On the positive we are not last only 31. Contract extension.
