that's still a lot of picks, despite trading a bunch to get CMC. If three third round picks holds for the 2023 draft, then I vote for OLine, DLine, and Defensive Back for those three 3rd round picks.

They likely will have it with the comp picks.

and all of them put together is slightly less then Trey Lance's salary

Cost Effective way to reload the roster. We need another smart draft.
We need to win a Lombardi again. This team too talented this year to now have it back where it belongs.

Personally, as long as you have Purdy, Kyle, and that defense, the super bowl window is wide open. Yeah, Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, CMC etc... but they are signed for the next couple years. And pretty much Kittle, Deebo, and Aiyuk were developed in house, vs traded for as free agents. I can see Kyle just replacing the parts as they wear out. Ray Ray for Deebo (for example when deebo was out with the sprained leg). I think replacing Kittle and Juszczyk would entail possibly a couple of day one or day two picks, but by 2024, they will have their first round pick back and several 3rd round compensatory picks for the coaches/front office personnel lost. Replacing CMC - I can see Elijah Mitchell and possibly Jordan Mason developing into a CMC 2.0 - maybe.

As for that defense, again they will have that first round pick in 2024, and multiple compensatory picks to hopefully replace talent on the defensive side of the ball. Key is getting Fangio, or a Fangio/Demeco Ryan level DC back there to coach the defense. Demeco is gone this year, you just have to assume it.

Agree Giedi, but there are other things that really make us super ready to go for it all this yr. A couple are:

—-having 12 DL starters/rotational guys almost from the start of the yr
—having 4 RBs in Deebo, CMC, Elijah, and Mason. Wow….sure not all were healthy all the time but still it never left us with out a RB if one got injured.
—-having 5 WRs in Deebo, CMC, Aiyuk, JJ, and Ray Ray…add au jus to this list and RB also.
—-having 3 QBs…even with 2 starters gone, we have another even better…altho still a rook, but one with 4 yrs experience in big league football college
—-having 3 rooks on OL that all turned in great yrs, getting better with each game. Having best OT in football #71
—-having best playcaller in league
—-having best GM/upper echelon F.O in league, JL
—having 1 all pro LB and another almost as good, plus a third who played great.
—-having DBs that can cover and Tarvarius, Gipson, Talano are those 3
—having TE that is all pro and best blocker in league at TE , who is recently on an Offensive tear.
—-having a F.O that continually amazes us with picks in Rd 3, and esp in 5,6 and 7

so yes we can rebuild and start all over, but right at this very moment, with the incredible depth (see above), we gotta be placed in the very best position since 1998 to make a run all the way and take the Lombardi.

Yup, 3 more games… they can't afford to have any bad games anymore.

All of this! The team needs to know this doesn't happen often and must not take this opportunity for granted and win it all!
