There's already 2 threads on Jimmy. Hopefully this concludes this week.

I think the commanders didnt want to be left empty handed (they probably thought with their off the field issues they wouldn't attract any SQB FA) so they traded for wentz and colts couldn't refuse this robbery.
but that left them without any viable option but Jimmy. They could sign Mariotta or winston but i dont see it happen
they will give us a 3rd this year and a 3rd becoming a 2nd (snaps and playoffs criteria met) so they are almost even between both trades

1. They are in the same division as the Texans and don't have a 1st round pick, so they have no chance of landing Watson.
2. They are a playoff team with a solid starter at QB. If their plan was to sign one of the available guys, they didn't have to trade Wentz before Free agency, if they were going after a Mariota/Taylor type of option, they could have at least waited for the tampering period. But, I just can't see them being willing to risk missing the playoffs again this year because they weren't willing to secure the best QB option available.
3. They asked Washington to take all of Wentzs' cap hit probably for less draft compensation. That means they are making room for a big signing. If they wanted to sign a cheaper option, they could have taken some of the cap hit for a better deal.
4. They swapped 2nd round picks with Washington. Granted they only moved up 5 spots but now their pick is the 10th pick in the 2nd round. If they assumed their major competition was Pitt and NO, both would have to give up a top 20 pick to overbid them now, which is a safe bet to not happen. It also gives them a little leverage in negotiating, because they can low ball for Garropolo now and fall back on the best offer the Niners are gonna get from this draft.
Now they can negotiate with Garropolo on an extension, and feel comfortable that another team won't swoop in at the last second. The only question, I have is why it hasn't happened yet. Is Garoppolo and Yee playing hardball with a contract extension, or are the Niners trying to extract more conditional pick(s) from next years draft?
Just a wild thought. Perhaps the deal is done with the colts and all parties agreed to stay quite until March 16. This would put many teams in a scramble mode for a QB . Specifically the Steelers or any other AFC team looking for a bridge QB.
Could be. I would think both teams, especially the Colts, would want perspective free agents to know their QB situation was settle before the tampering period starts.

WHO CARES? The only team worth pulling to get him would be the peacocks so we can smack him down twice a year. Other than that, his career arc will be similar to Alex's. Either one of the best backups, or one of the worst starters. Cut this albatross lose already!

I think we have better odds than any one specific team. I mean probably 60/40 he's traded but not to one specific club.

He's getting traded to multiple teams? They cutting him in half or something? Like the non-injured half goes to the Colts, the injured half goes to the Giants?
