Because of all the hate and lack of respect spewed at him, as much as I want to see him play more football, there's a part of me that kinda wants him to retire as a F U to the league.
End of the day, the guy had a pretty good career and it's possible he will be viewed at more favorably after his career is over than now.
I think his personality is such that he's made enough money and could retire.
His competitive juices might not allow it, but I think if he did retire it would be a nice statement to the league. Kinda like when your gf breaks up with you (or employer lays you off) and instead of fighting it, you embrace it and walk away without ever looking back. You're respected more and the other party will question the decision ever so slightly.
