PYMWYMI: Who gets Jimmy G?

I love Jimmy Garoppolo, but feel it's best for Lance to become the new 49ers QB.

Because of all the hate and lack of respect spewed at him, as much as I want to see him play more football, there's a part of me that kinda wants him to retire as a F U to the league.

End of the day, the guy had a pretty good career and it's possible he will be viewed at more favorably after his career is over than now.

I think his personality is such that he's made enough money and could retire.

His competitive juices might not allow it, but I think if he did retire it would be a nice statement to the league. Kinda like when your gf breaks up with you (or employer lays you off) and instead of fighting it, you embrace it and walk away without ever looking back. You're respected more and the other party will question the decision ever so slightly.

I've been a jinx master the last couple of months so I aint betting but I do believe that Jimmy will be traded to the Pats or that dag gum Pete Carrol (for intel) and the seahawks.

Look at the list of teams. Jimmy is clearly better than the current starters of at least five of those teams. Most of them don't even have a legit starter at the moment.

Haha. Well, any team with a strong defense and run game that wants a shot at a Super Bowl should be interested.

Most of those teams specifically fit that mold. Eagles, Colts, Browns had top five rushing attacks. Panthers likely would've been up there with a healthy CMC. All of those teams had top ten defenses except Indy, which likely would've been better if their quarterback moved chains better.

Oops! How about the Roughriders.

I actually thought Pittsburgh was the best fit. It now appears Indy won't happen (at least not without them getting Jimmy for much less than he's worth) either. (I hope I am proved wrong by some eleventh-hour deal).

Now my money is on Houston (after Jimmy's No-trade clause expires) and Watson has decided where he's going.
