Always a chance, but not smart business to sink a bunch of money into aCB that is approaching 30
I totally understand, but I love the idea of him, demo, and green for another year or two. Lets us focus on other areas etc.
Agree, but I think he's looking for one final, big payday
He said he can't play in cali cause of how emotional it is. Wish him nothing but the best in his future but he doesn't have any plans of resigning here.
#49ers CB and impending free agent Charvarius Ward said he might not return to San Francisco, not because of anything related to the team, but due to the personal trauma he experienced in California after the passing of his daughter this season. He shared that every time he flies… pic.twitter.com/km3HoNsu5c

Or he's really dealing with some real PTSD and is being up front and honest about it.

It's one of the ways to process grief.
I'm the opposite. I like to relive those moments in the places they happened as closely as possible.
No right or wrong way.
Best of luck to him.

Feel like his time was up for cap reasons when Lenoir re-signed anyway, but wish him the best of luck wherever he ends up.

He's real with it, depending on the market will depend if he stays here or not.

I'm in this boat, wish him the best. He played well for us for a few seasons, can't hate him for that.

Nothing but respect for Mooney. He was a great free agent signing for this team, and he earned every penny. Would love to have him back, but seems like it isn't in the cards. I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes.
