Eek. Moseley is not very good inside. Really struggles with quickness and laterally IMHO.

The game is changing some though, teams are using bigger slot guys now. Mosely would've done a better job on Kupp than Kwuan. While I agree he might struggle some with the quicker shiftier slot WRs.

And don't sleep on Lem, he showed that's hes definitely got the athleticism to play the slot, he was just raw.

True. I'm more focused on the NFCW. But perhaps with more focus on the slot Moseley will get better too but to me, it's one of those positions where you want a specialist and 100% focus because it's such a different skill set and focus from outside.

Agreed, K'waun has been great, but I get he's been more dinged up and getting older. I would still love to have him back a few more years.

So are we gonna restructure more contracts or is there a plan in place for JG to go soon? 🤔

If he doesn't get any offers, he could come back and help groom a rookie too.

I have a sneaky hunch today. Especially after yesterdays deal. Probably Colts. Probably finalizing details.

Yes they're gonna restructure Dee Ford three more times today.

I always have this scene from Moneyball pop in my head when people assume any CB can just move to the slot

LOL. Love that movie...."if he's a good hitter, why doesn't he hit good"
Just cause some of you don't know who he is or aren't familiar with his name doesn't make him a bad signing.

Based on everything i've looked up on this dude, this seems like a very underrated signing.

Kids young, he's got size, based on his stats from last season he's up there with being a top corner

Seems he keeps getting better each season.

💯 It would've been awesome if he can stay healthy. But if you are not on the field you can't do anything for the team. It actually hinders the team since they are relying on the players impact. I feel the same about Mostert, but luckily we have solid depth in that position.
We have effectively doubled the number of Ward INTs for the 49ers next season

It may be a good signing, but with that much money, how can it be underrated? Unless the contract just looks insane...

At least he's an upgrade over Dontae Johnson

I mean, he's probably CB1 on the team. Moseley and Thomas battle it out for CB2.

Does Ward play slot?

DDoes the titanic hit icebergs?

Just another overpaid player

Chiefs fans are saying that he is a #2 CB.

Well when your best cb is a #3, low end #2 at best, itsan upgrade.

Judging by some of the fans comments on here early on in the thread it appears we have one of the most dumbest fanbases in the nfl. Oh no we didn't sign so so that I heard of!!!

Ward is a good corner. FYI there are no lockdown corners anymore and the game is designed that way.

The best corner in the NFL (Ramsey) was burnt and picked on by the Rams. The corner with the most interceptions this year was also top 5 in most yards given up.

Ward is young and he is good.

Says: we have one of the dumbest fan bases
Then says: Ramsey (who plays for the Rams) was burnt and picked on by the Rams.

Irony?

Also, most interceptions does not equal good coverage skills. Some of the top INT guys are gamblers, so it can be feast or famine.

My only issue with Ward is the over aggressive hands. I wonder if the same people laughing about the "only 2 PI's all last season" are the same ones that were bit@#ing about him NOT getting called for it against US in the SUPER BOWL. People seem to have short memories, or must not watch much of the actual games.
