It seems alot of fans think the Niners should have a top 5 player at every position or the GM is not doing their job. The defending SB champs only have a top 5 player at 3 positions. CB,DT, and WR. Niners have a top 5 player at WR(Yes Deebo as of now I would consider top 5), TE, LB, LT, DE.

Exactly Although I give the FO a pass with Richburg. That was a big factor in costing us the SB vs KC.

Looks like those guys need to learn the difference between resign and re-sign.

Hopefully Ward is a monster for us. Saw an article where they ranked CB duos and put them into tiers...ours was listed as Tier 5 aka "lacks star power. Each of the teams within this grouping have two CB2s who can compete and play like a CB1 on their best days, but often regress back to their high-end CB2 mold. The New York Jets with rookie Sauce Gardner have the highest potential to immediately ascend from this tier."


I expect our guys to step up and make names for themselves.
