Hopefully Ward is a monster for us. Saw an article where they ranked CB duos and put them into tiers...ours was listed as Tier 5 aka "lacks star power. Each of the teams within this grouping have two CB2s who can compete and play like a CB1 on their best days, but often regress back to their high-end CB2 mold. The New York Jets with rookie Sauce Gardner have the highest potential to immediately ascend from this tier."

I expect our guys to step up and make names for themselves.

Yeah GB has a pretty nasty combo at CB and they will have that for 5+ more years.

Who's gonna have the least number of TO's? This dude, Moseley, Ward or Hufanga?

Better question - who will have more INTs this season, those guys listed or Kinlaw?

LMAO!!!

if Kinlaw ends up with more INTs than those guys = SB
Tier 5 is correct by the definition they gave. Pretty spot on all round for all teams. I really like the Packers, Eagles, and Dolphins CB duo's.

We'll see what they got. I'm sure their defense will be pretty good but we've also seen guys flash one year and then disappear. We had that in a big way after 2017. Remember when we thought we had studs for years to come with Foster and Adrian Colbert?

I still like our unit overall. Though GB certainly has made an effort to add some serious talent on D. Sure wish we had Jaire over here. But I'm sure this will be the year Mike McGlinchey proves to be a top 10 OT

I would take the Bills (White,Elam) Browns (Ward,Newsome) and Chargers (Samuel, Jackson) duo over the Ravens (Humphery, Peters) not gonna lie.

I would have put the 49ers in tier 6. CWard seems to be a solid/good CB2. I think Moseley is average and Ambry Thomas is still a question mark - good potential, but far from proven. So I'm encouraged that article put the 49ers duo in tier 5. Verrett is a total question mark due to not knowing how well he has recovered. If we get 2020 Verrett, then I would put a duo of CWard/Verrett in tier 2 because 2020 Verrett was a star.

If we get a healthy Verrett we are bringing the Lombardi home.

I've said this before - if we had a healthy Verrett last season, we'd be talking about #Questfor7 right now. No, he doesn't make the 49er offense score more, but he would have made the 2021 defense dominant. Anyway, if Verrett is ready to rock in 2022, CWard/Verrett is a damn good duo with Ambry continuing to develop and Moseley being a quality backup.

No doubt. This team Is too talented Imo ( when healthy ) not to be competing for super bowls.
I want to get excited but you guys were saying the same thing when we got Dee Ford.

If you look at the guys they have in the same tier it's not right IMO. Hell if you look at the tier above you can argue our guys should be there or better even.

I think Ward is just coming into his own and coming into a defense with a terrific front 7 to help him look even better. Moseley isn't a big name but he played very well last season. Just because they're not big name guys doesn't mean they're not talented.

I mean they have the Lions in tier 4 with Amani Oruwariye and Jeff Okudah...what have those guys proven? Okudah looked like a major disappointment as a rookie and then f'ed up his achilles year 2. Not a great start.

I realize i'm likely being somewhat of a homer but seeing stuff like that just annoys me.
