No, he has a rough go against CIN

Well to be fair, he's better than Norman or DJ but that's easy to be. Wonder if Moseley moves to the slot.

That makes him a #1 on our team.

Chase made a lot of corners look like fools this year

The player is good, not great. But the money is also good, not great. So what's the problem?
Bingo. But I'll add he was most definitely trending in the direction of being a great player all things considered (both pass and run defense)

This is a good signing. Might be great, once details come in. He's our #1 day 1

Might be somewhat overpaid. But he is young. Has the size. Has good experience. Supposably can hold up in man coverage. And statistically might be one of the best-tackling corners in the league. We needed a corner.... hopefully, they got it right.

By PFF ratings, other than as a pass rusher off the edge, Ward is a virtual copy of Emanuel Moseley. Ward is a little bigger 6'1", 198. E-Man 5'11" 185
_________Ranking Def.----- RDef----PRush----Cov
Ward. ---- #21 ------71 -----69 -------PRush ----68
E-Man ----#30 -------69 ------69 ------ 55 -------68
Ward is definitely an upgrade of Norman and Johnson whether he will be worth the money is yet to be seen.

Our weakness got a nice boost with a player with a lot of reps and showing solid success and nice upside at 25. I like the signing! No business of having scrubs like Norman, Kirkpatrick etc on this team. Now let's get Chandler Jones please lol

You don't know what you are talking about as far as this player. Seems like you are going off name recognition. Weak

Well, went to the chiefs board and they're pretty bummed that they didn't keep him. So that's my only positive hope from the signing.

A guess as far as the 49ers' plan at CB for '22: Charvarius Ward and Emmanuel Moseley are the starters at outside cornerback. On nickel downs, Ambry Thomas enters on the outside and Moseley slides inside. (The 49ers did this with Carlos Rogers and Chris Culliver in 2011).

seen numerous plays of Ward turning his head to attack the ball instead of the player, like on the play above.
Also chiefs fans say he's a damn good tackler when it comes to to run support.
Chiefs fans also mention that he can get prettt handsy with WRs, which might be an issue with us as opposed to the Chiefs because refs like to call everything on us lol
other than the amount of money am feeling a lot better about this signing.
