I agree with YAC.

Are we allowed both? I know we don't get go keep nice things so have to ask. Haha.

I mean, sure we could be allowed, but why push it lol

Sure. It'd be great to have all pros across every position group. Just not all that feasible in today's NFL. I'll take not getting burned deep over an int every day of the week.

I'll take either of those over all of the PIs we got last year.

Yea. Injuries have been a b***h. Had to rely on Josh Norman and a 3rd round corner for much of the season. Ambry showed some promise toward the end of the season though. He should be better this coming season, I hope.

For real. When Verrett went down, my heart broke for him and the season.

I'll take a good CB who can cover, and lockdown WRs over a ballhawk who gets burned, but yes sick of the DPIs, but that's part of the game, the NFL wants more offense, whenever a WR goes into a DB they call it DPI or Defensive Holding, when the defender isn't able to get out of the way, it's pure BS, I saw a lot of those last year, but also a lot of stupid penalties by us.

Yep, it's impossible to have All Pros everywhere on the field, we're lucky with who we have All Pro wise, Juice, Deebo, Trent, Kittle, Bosa, Warner, then add in guys who are close to being at the top of their positions, C.Ward, J.Ward, AA, Aiyuk.

I think we went over something like this, only with household names, 49ers right on par with the Rams, Chiefs, Bucs, etc....

Definitely. Each team can only have a handful of higher end players. The key is getting them at the most impactful positions.

My heart sunk, I knew it was a torn ACL, I felt so bad for him.

Yes, but some positions may be more impactful for the 49ers opposed to the Chiefs, Rams, Bucs, etc.... That's why there's so much parity in the NFL IMO, there's no clear favorite IMO for the SB.

Welp, I guess its time for Juice to go. No one else uses FB's anymore.

Exactly. FB, TE, MIKE, etc. are far more important to our scheme than other teams.

Right, and hopefully we add WR with Deebo, & Aiyuk, & EDGE with Bosa & Ward turns into a nice shutdown #1 CB.

That would be huge for us. If Trey and the OL gell, look out NFL! The dynasty will be back!

Between getting him, experience from playing last year for Lenoir and Thomas, the guys we drafted plus Moseley our CB's are going to be damn good this year. Really hoping Moore or Hufanga (would love for O'Neal to be a stud) take that other safety spot job and run with it.

We meme about Dontae Johnson but having him or Dennard as the 6th CB is really damn awesome.

EDIT: forgot about Verrett as well lol

? Haven't really kept up with certain posters, is my take homerism or? You don't think they will be better this year?

Combine them with our pass rush I honestly think we'll end up top 3 in defense.

Haha. Nah, your take is perfectly fine. 9ers4eva thinks the secondary is still a top weakness.

Yep, would be huge if Trey takes the league by surprise, and the OL gells, if Banks & Moore play well, and Brendel too, this team is a SB team IMO, contender for sure, going to be tough, no real clear cut favorite, everyone lost some key guys, gained some, upgraded, downgraded, etc... 2022 will be a fun season.

I believe with our front 7, and an improved Secondary, if SS isn't that big of a weakness, this defense should end up top 5, top 10 at worst.

#1 defense if Verrett is healthy all year.
