Probably Ambry and Lenoir.
August 1st: "We're going to have the #1 defense in the league!"

October 1st: Dontae Johnson and Ambry Thomas are the starting CBs.

I like Mosely tbh. I think he's vastly underrated by some on here.

How many CBs would need to be Injured for us to consider starting Dontae? I hope It doesn't come to that again.
The season is a month away and he will miss 2 weeks. So even if he has a setback he should be fully healthy by week 1.

That's OK we wouldn't want Love throwing 7 picks in this game. Trey is already lightyears ahead of that clown who's drafted a year earlier.

I've been a huge Moseley fan, I think he's gone after 2022 though, will command somewhere in DJ Reed to Ward money, so $11M to $13.5M a yr, not sure they'll pay two CBs that kind of money when they have Aiyuk & Bosa due extensions.

No harm here. Ward and Moseley need to get healthy, not get more meaningless practice reps. Even if fully healthy they wouldn't have seen more than one series.

This will provide a good opportunity to get Thomas and Lenoir plenty of reps to sort out what kind of player they can be.
can't believe our horrid lucky especially with CBs. training staff needs to be fired. next TC just have them play one week and rest them until the season.

We need to pay up for Moseley, 2 good cbs is almost needed, even with our pass rush due to injuries that we always have.

Bosa extension will get done, the salary cap goes up and the Jimmy G 24 million rolls over.

You don't really have to worry about Aiyuk because next year we have his fifth year option and then we can franchise tag him the following year so no urgency to extend him. We can keep him as well as a player like Moseley and let somebody like McGlinchey possibly go. If that's the case Burford or even Moore might take over at right tackle

Agree. Last year we lost Verett to a season ending injury and Jeff Wilson to an *almost* season ending injury. Two starters. So far so good (knock on wood) Hurst-- as far as I know -- is the only season ending injury so far. Everything else is just a couple of weeks at most.

Matthew's as well, but yea when you get a lemon try to make lemonade. It worked out fairly well for us last year.

There's also Greenlaw who is in his final year and he won't command as much as Ward. I think Bosa and Greenlaw are the priority extensions for 2023. Perhaps they can do a short term deal with Moseley because I'd love to keep him, but I think Moseley is likely to have a big year as the no. 2 guy, with a strong front 7 in front of him. Everything is set up for him to have a breakout year.
