I have no idea but someone mentioned that they could go with a 3 safety look.

Agreed. I know it happened, but man , how did we ever end up with charvious, Gipson and Eman PLUS Tolanoa and the Commodore, Lenoir ? I mean last yr the OL was leaking oil like mad but DBs were right there also. Well, we fixed DBs, and even with a make shift OL, we can win just based on our revived and newfound DBs this yr. It does show why we couldn't win it all til now, but with this ICE Defense, we can probably limp along and win with a really raw OL.

Plus, kyle figured out a way to coax a W out of OL and if he can keep pulling rabbits out of the hat with OL, we be good. But the DB fix…that was a Major stroke.

The d-line maybe isn't as elite. Bosa is better than he was a rookie. We don't have a Buckner in the middle but keep in mind Armstead will come back. But the parts and pieces work. Several guys other than Bosa got sacks Monday night, including Ebukam with two of his own. I think Ridgeway even got in there at the end. Omenihu, we really haven't seen Turay yet and we know he has pass rush talent- and Drake Jackson.

The thing that seems better than 2019 to me is the secondary. Sherman played great but we know/knew he had lost a step due to age and injuries and it showed a couple of times in the post season. Ward is younger, (Mooney), Moseley is more experienced than he was then, and the safeties are a deeper/better group.

The depth on the defensive line is so ridiculous and having a playmaking and scoring secondary is a huge change.

Ward has been lights out.

For those not old enough to remember....Ward against the Panthers is kind of what it was like it was like to land Dion Sanders.

Dion just stoped the ball on one side of the field, just like Ward did against the Panthers.

that allowed Merton Hanks to move to safety, and use his flexibility in the secondary to become a great safety.

Odd how poof here comes Ward, then Huff explodes on the scene.
