I'm going to need a link asap.
Dude totally brought a confidence to the defensive backfield that was sorely needed. Now it feels like we wont totally get cooked by every wr2 on the opposing team like previous seasons.

Yup. Great signing and I can't wait until Moseley is back next year, but the experience our young guys are getting is great.

No, I guess you're right. He didn't disappear. He was probably on TV more than any other player in the game.

Definitely one of the best. I would say right behind Trent Williams.

We gave up 100+ receiving yards last night to some dude named Dortch and Ward was having a tough time with Hopkins (understandable).

He got cooked a few times but that's what Hopkins does. Was great in run support.

Yeah I saw that, but Hopkins is a beast. Ward is a super improvement for us. Besides how many teams have a true CB1 lockdown type. They are very hard to find.

Trent was a trade though. Justin Smith was a true free agent signing.

I didn't love it, but I'm okay with Mooney's play against Hopkins. Hopkins is a WR that you have to respect his entire route tree, and sometimes, you have to give up that he's going to get those backshoulder throws to the sideline.

And then ultimately... we did clamp down on Hopkins in the second half. It looks like he only had 1 catch for 10 yards in the second half. Without looking at the film, I presume Demeco Ryans realized that the Cardinals only had so many successful concepts they could run, so he promptly adjusted and took those away.

I was incredibly excited to sign Mooney. For the cost that we got him at, we got a guy that I think will get Pro Bowl consideration in this defense. He's not a Darrell Revis-level cornerback that's going to shutdown the opposing WR, but he's very good in his own right. He's challenging WR's and contesting throws. Last season, our QB's were just throwing it up on one-on-one situations and winning Pass Interference calls because our corners were just in over their heads. Now, when I see QB's challenge him, there's competency there, and there's a guy that's making it difficult for the WR.
Receivers are starting to beat him more and more on those sideline comeback routes and backshoulder throws. How do you think he can counter those without risking getting beat over the top on a double move?
