4th down vs Saints

I've freeze framed where he was first contacted and where he was tackled he carried Saints defenders over 20 yards to win the game

For years people would talk about the Mark Bavaro NYG play vs us this was that play only instead of some random 2nd quarter play it was in clutch time to win the game. When we throw 8 pass attempts in certain playoff games yeah hard to win the fantasy stat matchup that week. Good thing NFL TE is more than fantasy stats. Shut this thing down no reason to think a Kittle discussion needs multiple threads anyway, then go to YouTube pull up Kittle 4th down vs Saints one more time.

That was a great play! But it wasnt in the playoffs.

It was on the road vs a 13-3 team with a HOF coach and HOF QB. You think if the calendar rolls around to playoffs he shrinks from that moment? Really? Is that honestly what you are saying?
Kittle has no control over the passes he gets or doesn't get thrown his way. Am I blaming Jimmy? Yes. Absolutely and without question, 100%.

We already went over this before, but Jimmy has arguably the worst playoff numbers of any Niners QB in a long time.

Can't produce if the quarterback can't get you the ball. That prerequisite I feel gets too easily forgotten. Bottom line is that he dominates when given the ball.
OP doesn't watch 49er games
Jimmy sucks. Horrid playoff performer

With the recent contract restructure announced today I started thinking about George Kittles production in big games. Specifically, playoff games. Did some googling and found that Kittle only has 15 catches for 179 yards and 1 td in 6 career playoff games. He comes up extremely small for whatever reason. I cannot think of a big playoff moment he's had. What do you guys make of that? A player being paid that much who's that talented doing so little when the team needs it most.

Thoughts.........

QB, conservative scheme, ultra focus on the running game, Kittle stuck pass protecting (see Superbowl) when it matters most, defense allowing long time-consuming drives, decoy, etc.

All facts!

So if he dominates when given the ball wouldnt you say the HC should prioritize getting him the ball especially in the playoffs? Im not here to defend Jimmy we all know what he is but other sus QBs can still get their best player the ball. Jimmy can at least do that much. I think its a combo of things but that production from a supposed superstar just cant happen. Idc who the qb is. Find a way coach!
There are average TE's getting almost $10 Million a year.
I remember Vernon Davis making big plays in the playoffs with Alex Smith and Kap at qb. Kittle, Kyle and all parties involved gotta find a way to get this man the ball much much more in the playoffs. But i like the discussion. Dont make it into a slander George post its not that but tell me his biggest playoff moments?????

Defenses stack the middle of the field cause that's Jimmys sweet spot. We saw close to the most single high safeties looks in the league last year which takes away seams.

They keep Kittle in a blocking role because Jimmy is a statue.

This is true. Fair point.
