Meh

It's funny, this seems to the reaction anytime we make a special teams signing. As bad as special teams were last year, it's probably good were putting a priority on it.

I have no clue who this is or if he's any good or just a ST guy

I think having the attitude of special teams being an afterthought clearly bit us in the @** last year, so even if his role doesn't go beyond that there is some value in this signing.

For sure he has a chance to start. Hufanga has the injury bug label, Moore is coming back from a major injury. Odum will get some snaps here and there if he doesn't win the starting spot outright.

Isn't Moore a free agent?

2022 will be TMoore's final year of his rookie deal.
Such a 49ers type signing LOL. Solid move though
He's basically a younger, cheaper Tartt with special teams value
He hasn't done much outside of special teams work. This seems like way too much money to just be a ST'er. Not many turnovers Wait and see with this guy.

I hear you. The thing is with the limited cap space we have (at least until Jimmy is gone) you can still afford quality special teams players. All those other positions cost considerably more Who knows? Maybe we didn't like the O-line options available in free agency. The only guy that I was disappointed that we didn't make a run at was James Daniels. Maybe the 8.8 million per year that he's getting from the Steelers was too expensive for us and we got priced out. We did bring in Charvarius Ward which did add to the DB room. It wouldn't surprise me if we added another corner and/or safety in the draft. This draft is also deep at Edge rusher and O-line, so I would anticipate we make some additions there.

Seems like a lot for someone who has spent most of his career on special teams

Yea he got Tarrt's money.
Can he catch passes thrown like punts that could seal championship games?

Maybe they are planning on punting a lot next year
